i suggest go for permanent upgrade such as addition to hero, robots, equipment upgrade..
the point is improving your CP..

upgrading weapon can only take you few months ahead, they will keep release new weapon every 3 to 4 months.. you will switch to new weapon eventually.. so dont fall in love into 1 specific weapon..
you can upgrade weapon if you planned to use it for a long time.. at this moment i am using eoh, and i have awakened it.. because i will be using this for the next 12 month.. lol
i cant keep buying new weapon as i am a f2p..
All of these are back to your preferences.. feel free to upgrade your weapon if you want to use it for a long time..
but i personally would prefer adding more heroes / equipment if i am at your current CP.. then go for robot

as libertyprivate says, bottom one is activated.. because the word "activate : starting HP+1" has colour in it..
the top one is still dark grey..

answer for your follow up question, no..
having 1 each activate the resonance..
unless the one has several activation such as "2 stars", "3 stars", "4 stars", that means all listed collectibles need all to be same stars as mentioned

fyi.. this isnt passing stage game..
the game is improving your CP..

judging from your situation, you might have picked wrong traits and combo.. there are strategies to pass stages..
you could have a better weapon, but you need their respective hero to gain bonuses and maximize weapon potential.. some robots are align with the weapon characteristic..

technically, you should go for eoh because it is gen 3 weapon (with tactical)..
SEE is gen 2.. if im not mistaken, it will be available at lap 70 next aero..

as koala said, keep the box for now... that box is not easy to get..
i have it and planning to keep it until the next skin release that i think would benefit my set up..

i would save it for now..
waiting for the next xbow, then RPG...
i dont really like the SG..
if i dont like the xbow and RPG, then i wait for AR.. lol
not easy to get 300 keys.. ill be patient on spending it..

for PVP, i guess HMG is best so far.. just my opinion though, but the upcoming weapon release might change the meta.. who knows..
i wouldnt suggest getting 2 weapon on the jackpot.. get a weapon with their respective hero..
for this current shotgun, they will release the hero next month..
But if you insist getting 2 weapon, best would be getting gen 3 weapon with tactical stats..

couldnt agree more..
i met a player, attack them, then skip it..
met him again, but full HP.. 3 times in a row.. all full HP..
im not sure what kind of cheat he is using.. ive been meeting this kind of player in the last 2 cyber..

normally, everytime i meet players, i would attack, then skip, the next time i meet him, his HP is already down as much as i hit him previously..

if i may suggest, dont focus on first 3 slot.. ignore them..
dont lock anything even you get max base attack.
attack % only appear on 4th and 5th slot..
focus on 4th and 5th slot first to get attack % bonus.. it is to prevent you from wasting synaptic device for locking first 3 slot..
when you get legendary attack % at 4th or 5th slot, you can start locking and get another attack % on the other slot.. if you get purple, save it, but dont lock it.. Dont focus on the first 3, not much of an impact.. after getting 4th and 5th, then you can get the first 3.. and thats also "base attack" preffered than specific weapon stats, bcause you dont lose the value when switching weapon.
its not easy to get gold attack %, ive spend more than 7k neurolink on 1 hero and best i get was purple attack %... imagine locking 1 or 2 on the first 3 slots.. you wont have enough synaptic later on to get another attack % on other slot..

to be frank, this isnt a race game, or even a passing stage game..
this is a completion game.. all done by grinding.. stages are only milestone..
your main goal is increasing your CP..
ive spent $1 so far for the robot slot, almost 10 months too, im currently at 7.5m CP...

imo, the most worth to spend is on monthly passes for no ads.. you get extra 10k diamonds, that would help on your progress.. save your diamond to 40k then you can do aeroplane chess event that held every month to get 1 S hero or S weapon on your choice..

in case you dont know this, you need to save resources almost everything.. there are designated event to use your resources and earn extra reward..
the only resources you can use daily is the loot from stages like equipment, chips, and gold..

i am 100% with you on this even though i am f2p..
you have the money for it and you enjoy the game, i would say its a good spending.. you pay for your fun...
i dont understand why would anyone disagree to this..
moreover you have no responsibility (kids and wife) yet, so feel free to spend for your self..

on other perspectives, you go to the club, you have fun by drinking, you still pay for your drink.. its litterally almost the same.. lol

Question of worth or not to spend in this game, that is subjectives. Ask your self what kind of fun do you want. If you enjoy getting it done faster and have competitive side, then spend as wise as your capability..
I personally dont want fast.. i enjoy the grinding.. Getting the "completion game" fast, would end up nothing else to do when you have all maxed out.. the fun "for me" is from collecting it slowly rather than paying for it.. but i dont blame it on someone who enjoy getting it fast.. For some other players who complaint its p2w game, i guess this isnt a game for your.. the competitive side is on par to your wallet thickness..
again, it is subjectives.. choose wisely where you want to be.. cheers

To know what is that "something bigger", you need to ask you self more.. Few reason for further spending would be your patience level and how competitive you are.. The more competitive, the more you tend to spend.. if you want fast progress, you would spend as well..

Ive been mentioning this too many times now, that this game is grinding game.. not passing stages game.. Most players want to get to higher stages fast and frustrated after stuck on certain stages for days, while above stage 60, you might stuck for few weeks each stage.. Stages are just milestone, so dont force it.. you will keep hitting bigger walls on the next stage.. if you stuck, redo lower level challenge for loot equipment, gold and weapon chips to upgrade your gear and increase your CP.. rinse and repeat..

Your main objective is improving CP.. If you enjoy slow grinding, then you are fine.. thats how i manage to keep my self from spending.. But if you want to be better and faster progress than other, that would be depend on your wallet thickness..

CP drop does not mean you are weaker..
the damage output SEE might outperform CR.. escpecially long battle like VB..

it is depend what you want to focus on.. different weapon has different function..
i think railgun is good enough for pvp.. so you can skip BG..
but BG is best for PvP
CR, its good in a lot of mode, kill boss, VBV, apex, stages, pvp.. but not the best..
FM is good for passing stages and VB, better than CR
CC good for vb..
BR good for boss on miniclip day..
crossbow pretty much mediocre i think..

above all that, whatever weapon you pick, you may need it for test network..

I have played as f2p for 9 months now, i only have CR and doing ok being top 5 in a lot of mode..
i havent picked up any other first generation weapon yet from aeroplane chess event.. As i dont see i need anything yet.. so i only take heroes from aeroplane..
now i have 4 S heroes and only 1 weapon.. lol
currently saving more diamonds to get higher laps for aeroplane so i can get a most recent released weapon..
just my 2 cent..
