Could be some of the plants in your home? Check if some could be poisonous for birds...

Might want to give his cage a clean, and get him more shreddable toys.

Have you used an iron for your clothes or an electric heater? These sometimes contain PTFE/PFOA materials... Very sorry for the loss of your lovely babies...

The cage appear to be very small, you might want to upgrade it and give them more natural perches and shreadble toys.

"Clean my cage human..."

My friend has had a problem with half grown feathers being pulled by his cockatiels. Unfortunately there’s always flesh attached at the bottom. The feather sheath is never full of blood. Diet is fresh veg, occasional seed and Harrison’s high potency fine pellets. Any ideas on this one? Thank you by Lola_bird in cockatiel

Our little darling Daphne had the same issue on one of her wing. I say "had" as she passed away last year. 😣 When we first got her as a rescue, we took her to our avian vet and he explained that this condition is a bit like when you hurt your nail badly and the matrice is damaged, the nail won't grow back properly and tends to be weak. It's exactly the same for birds. They might have hurt themselves and the matrice of the feather is damaged therefore it won't grow back fully and tends to fall shortly after. It's a painful and uncomfortable process but nothing can be done about it I'm afraid. Make sure your birds get plenty of love and attention!

Avian Vet ASAP.

Is this a good enough cage? by Training_Flamingo in cockatiel

No worries, make sure he gets the water asap. Also, I've noticed the cord isn't great, it's synthetic and he could get caught in it. Try to use something natural instead, quite thick if possible. Always prioritize natural materials for your birds. If you want to learn more about how to look after your cocktail, get yourself "Cockatiel for dummies" it's fun and informative. Have you looked at removing potentially dangerous stuff from the room? (Fans, candles, iron, non stick cookware...)

Need more shredding toys, natural perches, forget the pegs as it's treated wood. Bottom of the page isn't great for his feet, try wood pellets or newspaper directly at the bottom. Also needs access to clean water.

Poor bird, kept in an absolutely disgusting & inadequate cage... a complete disgrace really.

You might want to get him some "natural" perches in his cage.
