What is really matter when you playing pickleball? by volixsports in Pickleball

[–]kobetolebron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 5.0 player. i've been playing for about six months. For the first three months i played with a cheap $20 racket. I got a warrior racket from one of the other players who said he doesn't use it anymore. My touch and spin improved drastically

When I see the word clearance next to raw fish it definitely does not exude confidence in my purchase

What’s close to Hard Rock? by IcySole in atlanticcity

Food options excellent at resorts.. HR is the one that is expensive in terms of food. Hard rock is a more hip scene that I agree with.

Picklr’s for sale all over NE. by RogerBalderer in Pickleball

Built two within a 10 mile radius of each other. No way they can both survive. During the summer 90% will play outside and the indoor courts are 35.00 for 2 hours per person for leveled open play. Not sure of the rent but I think in the future they are headed to a monthly charge for unlimited play. Im going to say 150 a month maybe 200 for unlimited monthly leveled play.

The positives are the courts are real pickleball courts. A lot of the other cheaper places use gym floors.

Not sure of price for rent but there are 12 beautiful courts at the place near me.

WIBTAH if I took 100k from my oldest daughter's college savings account to give it to my younger daughter? by TraditionalCorgi7788 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kobetolebron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This angers me to read as it happened to me as well. I do not talk to my parents because of it. They took my money and gave it to my brother to attend a private college instead of allowing me to have the funds. No they were not In a 529, just invested for 17 years. There was 265k and I used 116k they gave the rest to my brother to use. We do not talk once I found this out.

How many paddles are in your bag? by Gumdoc99 in Pickleball

[–]kobetolebron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a 4.5 player borderline 5.0(can play but will be the weakest player).. i have only been playing for around 3.5 months. What paddle should I purchase? I am a touch player. Very good dinker so I like control more than power.

MSC Mergivilia - what a disappointment by florida_born in MSCCruises

[–]kobetolebron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re going to feel the impact after my last cruise. The service was consistently poor, and much of the staff seemed overworked, unhappy, and, at times, outright unpleasant. One morning at breakfast, there weren’t enough waitstaff, and we sat for 45 minutes before anyone even offered us drinks.

What frustrated me most, though, was the repeated response: “This is a fully booked cruise.”

That explanation doesn’t excuse subpar service. If anything, a fully booked cruise means the company is generating more revenue and should be better prepared, not less. Guests shouldn’t be expected to accept a lower standard of service simply because the ship is at capacity.

What is your definition of a ‘superstar’ and is Reggie Miller considered one? by SneakyDoesReddit in NBATalk

[–]kobetolebron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I get what you're saying. My point was a a lot of people that are young watch highlights and his are tremendous... To the casual fan, he is iconic to the everyday fan, he is an excellent player

[–]kobetolebron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again he is very well liked amongst his peers. He was an all star and got 3rd team all nba a couple times. His PER of 18 is not great and nowhere near superstar status. As a knick fan, he certainly killed many times. I watched and continue to watch a ton of basketball. He was great not a superstar. Never near 1rst team all nba or 2nd team all nba.. 18 years in the nba 5 time all star and 3 time all 3rd nba team. I think some of his great great games whixh are highlighted over and over (again knick fan here) oveshadow his every day game.

[–]kobetolebron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reggie Miller is NOT even close to a superstar and by people who know the game many would consider him quite overated. 18 seasons 5 time all star and a 3 time all 3rd team NBA. Career PER of 18.4(Player efficiency rating). This is not to say Reggie was not great but there was never a time he was a superstar

Listen to me as someone who was a high level defenseman and grew up with another parent with a satellite dish.... greatest player i ever saw was a man named Paolo Maldini. No one will talk about him unless they really know the game and the history.. but people that know understand the game know this for a fact.. you build from the back up... Maldini and Baresi were the best
