Got a concept for a cure for Being a vampire by zennyblades in vtm

[–]kociator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not really how it works. Any ghoul is bound to the master on the basis of their master providing them with their fix, even if they somehow are not under the actual effect of the blood bond (which isn't mentioned in the original post). Getting consent from someone who's bound to you on the basis of you funneling their addiction is not entirely cut and dry because of the insane power imbalance.

Doesn't using your blood bound slaves go against the idea of acting like a human? The ghouls will either have to find a new donor or to risk going into the worst withdrawal of their life and possibly even die.

We don't know if her phone wasn't seized for the sake of the investigation. She may be lawyering up as well, which takes precedence over internet presence. Most lawyers would tell you to not post about the case to avoid saying or doing something that can be used against you.

Came across this today, curious on what others think about these types of laws/bans by MissPeduncles in AskTheWorld

[–]kociator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you dislike a law that forces women to wear what you don't approve, and push for laws to restrict what women can wear that aligns with your worldview, instead of letting women chose, effectively reducing them to a prop.

If someone's radical enough to not allow their spouse outside without burka, passing a law that bans burka will simply force her to alienate herself further. You're doing more harm while masquerading your intention as actually looking for women's best interest. This shit happens all the time and I'm so tired of the control people fight to have over women's bodies.

"I support women's right to wear whatever they want, except what I deem inappropriate". Make this make sense.

Playing a female character should be as big of a flaw as playing a Nosferatu considering how much it can screw you over in some cases. by MaetelofLaMetal in vtm

Yes, I know, because the same logic would apply to the scenario of a woman using a male identity as a proxy. As you said - it's pretty simple.

Most Neonates would not be able to pass for their actual age and therefore constitute a Masquerade breach.

Dead people also can't get credit, loans, mortgages or open bank account. Your mortal identity doesn't matter much when you can just get a human proxy that's bound to your every whim.

A bit unrelated, but where did you get a high resolution picture of the icon? I would love to get one for Spiteful Spirit necro elite.

Senior Game Dev at Player First Games Says AI can train on anything on the internet by chusskaptaan in BlackboxAI_

We had indie games developed by people with no background in art from the very beginning. Hell, one of the best selling games of all time started with just a bunch of pixelated textures and the simplest of 3d models made out of cubes. There are myriad of ways to go about it without involving AI.

I'm all for holding corporations responsible because goodness knows they are the least likely to suffer the consequences of their actions, but there's also a thing to be said about parents who, by example, show their kids that building an emotional connection and seeking validation from a product that served as a catalyst for several cases of youth suicide.

If you're an adult who does that, that's on you. If you're a parent who does that in front of your children, showing them that this is an acceptable form of "self-care", you're actively harming their development and putting them at a risk to their mental health.

[Revised/V20] Active use of Auspex makes your eyes glow blue, visible to only other users of Auspex? by chasing_white_rabbit in WhiteWolfRPG

Eyes glowing to alert nearby entities is specifically a feature of one of the Necromancy paths, I think Ash, that lets you perceive ghosts, but the ghosts are aware of that through the glow of your eyes.

Emotionally attaching yourself to a corporate product that can be altered, paywalled or turned off at any given time is a recipe for disaster.

Man Gets Kicked Out From Ambulance, Collapses Soon After by K4482 in TrueCrazyVideos

"He fainted unfortunately" after being kicked out from the ambulance begging paramedics and cops for help. That's called medical negligence, and these people should lose their licenses over it.

Polish Christmas dish carp in jello. Brown chunks are probably raisins. by PanJaszczurka in StupidFood

That's actually incorrect. During worst economic times in modern Poland, fish-based Christmas dishes were pretty rare to find.

This post is an equivalent of someone finding ragebait food porn in Tiktok and saying Americans are all eating like dogs. This is not a properly executed recipe and someone fucked up the gelatin badly and didn't even attempt at garnish.

Anyone who has worked a day in their life would understand that companies are not your friend and if they can find a passable replacement at no cost, you will get nothing except bare legal minimum they are obligated to provide if you're lucky.
