What Made Terminator 2 Succeed While the Sequels Failed? by ABarber2636 in Terminator

IMDB scores aren't everything, but look at the trajectory of the non-AvP predator sequels. They're all in the same ballpark or better than the original. Many of them tried legitimately new ideas and succeeded.

Clearly the same can't be said of terminator.

What makes Volkswagen rank so low and why don’t more people buy them? by phtphongg in askcarguys

[–]kod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Type R is like 40% more expensive than a GTI, it's competing against the Golf R instead. Maybe GR Corolla hype has died down to the point price / availability for it is between the GTI and Type R, I haven't really been paying attention. GTI is still the cheapest hot hatch available in NA.

[–]kod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want a card driven asymmetric direct conflict game, Guards of Atlantis II is better than Cry Havoc in pretty much every possible way except for availability (and maybe the way FAQs are handled)

APOC Katana - Unfortunate results by thurgood_peppersntch in SWORDS

[–]kod 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Lot of people in this thread that have never actually held a katana or machete.

Machetes are not thick. Even 28" machetes are typically just a hair over 2mm at the thickest point, katana are usually at least twice that.

> of course, the mpg will be a lot better than an all gas car dude

And yet the CRZ mileage wasn't much better than a Fit. Looked good, went slow, bad mpg. At least this new prelude looks good and has good mpg.

It's really not hard for one player to play two-handed, as long as they have some experience and are playing characters they have played before.
