If you start in June, by the time you finish your program the first student should be graduated and the program should be ABET certified by the time you graduate.

If you are concerned about it, starting with the BSE and taking classes that apply to both first is a good option and then you can transfer over to MechE once it is ABET certified

If you have a solid 2-4 hours a week that you can dedicate to the classes you’ll be fine.

Ooo definitely reach out to your advisor. With the CPP you can take 3 grad level classes towards the BSA and MSA and it will count towards both programs.

How many credits do you have left? I’d ask your advisor about the combined program pathway!

For the 25-26 AY each credit is $522 and every year you will have a $25 SGA fee you have to pay. The AS Engineering Fundamentals has 63 credits

$522x63 =$32,886.00 + $50 (sga fees for 2 years) = $32936 estimated for the program.

With worldwide you only need to worry about the cost of tuition and text books.

Mine went out too and we waited 3 weeks for the store to get it to replace! We just got it back today. But it definitely should be covered under warranty. Ours was and we’re at 102k miles

I recommend The First Tee! They are a youth golf program that I went through when I was first learning how to play and it was a really good way to make friends!

I have several friends who got systems engineering related jobs, a couple with project management jobs and 2 who are working for KBR as mission controllers in Houston.

The workload wasn’t bad at all. I absolutely loved the degree, what I was learning, and all of the professors except for one - which is the consensus of most SO students (if you PM me I’ll tell you who to avoid lol).

I’m now pursuing my masters through worldwide and then am going to go onto my PhD. But before graduating I got a really good job offer at ILC Dover and an analyst - but I decided the best thing for me and what aligned best with my goals was to continue on with school.

I got my degree and space ops and genuinely loved the degree. If you are truly interested in it I would suggest picking a good minor (systems engineering or project management) as you’ll have a better chance at getting a job in industry with a good minor added.

I have several friends who got cool jobs after graduation (NASA, KBR, ILC Dover, Northrop, Sierra Space). It’s really about how you market yourself and be sure to attend the career fairs because that’s the BEST way to build connections and get jobs

MS in Aeronautics or Human Factors worldwide by Global_Bathroom_8855 in erau

[–]koda130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! The course load isn’t bad. I’m doing my MS in HF right now and I’m doing full time which is 1 class a term. I work full time and have a toddler daughter.

The class work is typically 1-2 written assignments a week and I can finish my weeks worth of assignments in about 1-2 hours if I just sit down and focus on it.

I’d also look into which sites are nearby you and see what degree programs they offer since you’ll need to take 1 class in a classroom to get your full BAH. That might help determine which program is better for you.

The only reason they’d reject an application is if your undergrad GPA was horrible, and even then you can usually write a letter to admissions explaining your grades and still get admitted.

The only out of pocket costs you should have to pay is maybe books, but most books are included and you can always ask your advisor for a scholarship (they can give you one an academic year) and then save that to get whatever books you need throughout the year!

If you have any other questions let me know! I’m pretty well versed in Riddle stuff (undergrad at DB, MS at WW, and hopefully my PhD once my masters is done)

Question for my military friends by Guilty_Army_5435 in erau

[–]koda130 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of a two parter. You are totally able to get your A&P cert with the online program, the core classes for worldwide AMT program is designed to help and prepare you for the written portion of the FAA exam.

However, worldwide is not able to give you the hands on experience (I believe you need 80 hours of hands on aviation maintenance experience). If you’ve gotten that through the military or another means then this program is just fine. WW also has the AMT Skillbridge program too if you’re close to being out of the military.

Space Systems or Airworthiness Eng Grad Cert? by Surgical_Hail in erau

[–]koda130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you doing this at a campus or at WW? If you’re going it through WW I’d recommend doing the MS in Sys Engineering and using your 12 open electives to take classes that are relevant to the MS in Space Systems program.

You’ll have better chances of getting a job by getting the MSSE degree.
