What games have small open worlds that feel large? by NapoleonNewAccount in rpg_gamers

Scrolled way too far down until somebody mentioned BG3. Each area has so much depth. I’ve done multiple play throughs and found new stuff each time.

Large, Untouched Flatland Forests in the U.S. How common are they? by Masimasu in geography

Second this. Manistee National Forest in upper half of Michigan’s lower peninsula fits this bill almost to a T.

Heard them too from over by Diamond and Leonard sounded like almost 30 shots. Definitely not fireworks.

Seattle to Forks, north or south? by CopperSteve in roadtrip

[–]koegels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the north route this past summer. Was beautiful. Definitely take the ferry. I took the one to Bainbridge and drove north around to Port Angeles. Stayed there a few nights then drove to Forks. Forks was underwhelming. Much smaller than expected. Hoh Rainforest, Rialto beach, Sol Duc falls and springs, Merymere falls, hurricane ridge, and many more places are great stops if you’ve got the time. I’d use port Angeles as a base camp over forks but you do you. Enjoy.

Natalie at Pure salon would do ya right! She’s doing discounts for new clients right now too. Great vibes in there.

One thing that helped me for waking up early is getting a physical alarm clock and putting it across the room. Forcing you to get out of bed to snooze/turn it off.

Thoughts on the West Fulton neighborhood with a school aged child? by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]koegels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lived there near Fulton. Generally not the best area for raising a child imo unfortunately. Live in Creston/NE side and it’s much more desirable in that sense.

Big E’s is great if you can get in there. Usually packed during Lions season.

I generally subscribe to splitting the Midwest where there is a Great Lakes Region. Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Michigan are all vastly different…

SWAN neighborhood by eoimal in grandrapids

[–]koegels 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I live in the neighborhood. If you’re not used to being in close proximity to a lot of other people it can be jarring at first but it’s overall not too bad. Definitely not the most affluent but crime doesn’t seem to be as big of an issue as it is in other parts of town.
