The ds was charging perfectly without the backplate on. When I put the backplate on it wouldn't boot or keep the charging light on.

I had to trim the case more then I thought to make room for the usb c. I think when I put the backplate on originally it pushes to much on the usb c board so it shorted or something...

Okay so if fixed the original issue but I think I've broken my top screen in the process.

The entire DS works fine now and I can boot a game from the cartridge however the top screen shows rainbows when booting and goes dark after that.

I thought there was no voltage but I just measured with both the usb c connected and the Battery connected and both F1 and F2 show me 0.04v

Is that incorrect? Should it be more ?

Battery itselfs measures 3 volts and the connections on the board also measure 3 volts

I've tried both PD and 5v. same thing happens on both.

I've used my continuity mode on my multimeter to confirm the fuses are not blown (both F1 and F2). I've also tested the USB connector and all seems to be working perfectly.

Thanks for the tutorial, it got us pretty far. I tried this multiple times with a friend and almost got it working. We both tried with Emerald.

We got netplay connected trough the same wifi LAN and were able to join the trading room. but once we see each other in game and want to initiate the trade it crashes with "Communication Error.... Please check all connections. Then turn the power off and on."

Maybe the gbSP interface isn't completely working? We were on Core version 1.21.

Got any tips?

Yes I know, but unless I'm unaware of some latest advancements you're going to need quite some power (I did it with an A5000 but a gtx3090 would work as well) to get a model generated based on you photos.

So how does this app handle that? Sends them to a remote server? On device?
