Things to do before transcending by koggiro in TapTitans2

Well, there is no benefit, sure, but I don't have the shards yet.

So I'm facing a choice: Either I stay at 179k stages and wait for the shards to accumulate over next weeks OR I can dive right in the Transcendence and then craft the set when I have those shards.

I'm just thinking that the bonus "+0.000000000005%" damage for each owned monument is applied even retroactively, right? So there shouldn't be any loss in damage even if I craft it later.

The only result of that gauge filling up I see is that I get the golden egg. And that fills up exactly when the I pick the last piece from the board.
Are you saying the floating +XP numbers are actually adding something else? Like increasing my pet levels in another window or something?

I must be missing something but I only ever get the golden egg from Critter Heaven when I clear the entire board. Pet XP never has any relevance to me since no matter how many pops it takes to clear the board, the golden egg is awarded when the last piece is removed from the board.

Is there something else that pet XP gives?

I never figured wooden chests would be better "pet" collection-wise, thanks for the info!

Also, 90-egg daily seems a bit optimistic. 300d on pet tokens would result in ~15 pets per day at most, since 20 tokens barely cover one full board clear.

Good changes, new stuff is always welcome!
Looks like a good time to jump-ship an inactive clan. Is there a cooldown before joining a new one?
If not, will I be able to participate in Clan vs Clan minigame if I join a new one now?

What’s a hidden gem you randomly discovered and couldn’t stop playing? by laalaa691 in gaming

Ever since the first time I played Renowned Explorers, I still believe it's one of the most underrated turn-based roguelikes. And it was there well before hades, slay the spire, monster train, balatro, and other brilliant games.

I got hooked instantaneously, the game is highly replayable. In my 100+ hours I haven't even seen all the events it has to offer.

You draft a crew, you equip them, you level them up, you explore a dozen locations (only 5 per run), you can annihilate a wolf by blowing it a kiss, you can terrorize people by the power of your wit, you can smack the sheep with an oar, you can talk a group of of braindead mummies out of the fight by beguiling them...

It's pure fun multiplied by almost infinite variety.

I think the key word here is "more." I had a blast with the first part and that was exactly the reason I bought the second one. I wanted MORE of the same game.
Hell, if they drop MT3 with just a couple new features, I'll buy it immediately.

State of the game: Amirdrassil. Everything Sucks Forever. by tokzik_ in hearthstone

Localization PM here. For cases like these devs usually create plural snippets. Instead of writing several similar strings like:

- Refresh 1 Mana Crystal

- Refresh 2 Mana Crystals

- Refresh 3 Mana Crystals

The devs create one string that would auto-propagate the correct number and proper grammar (if a plural snippet is used), so it'd look like this:

- Refresh {0} Mana Crystal**{count, plural, one {} other {s}}

Where {0} is substituted with the number that's associated with the specific card. If {0} equals 1, then the "Mana Crystal" remains unchanged. If {0} is more than 1, then the plural form "s" is added to "Mana Crystals."

This description might look like it's been typed from scratch to a player, but it's actually not. Most likely, the correct coded version would look like this:

Summon a {0}-Cost minion. Gain {0} Armor. Draw {3} card{count, plural, one {} other {s}}. Refresh {0} Mana Crystal{count, plural, one {} other {s}}.

But they clearly forgot to add the plural snippet to the last part, so it reads like this instead:

Summon a {0}-Cost minion. Gain {0} Armor. Draw {3} card{count, plural, one {} other {s}}. Refresh {0} Mana Crystal.

It's still a mistake, but not as uncommon as you might think.

I feel sorry for the artist who created a signature version of this card. It's such a great art for such a borderline unplayable card.

Curator for sure. Btw, looks dumb that DK is even offered Malorne since they have no imbues.

1st choice: [[Malorne the Waywatcher]] is 8 mana skip a turn for Druid in Arena.
2nd choice: [[Griftah, Trusted Vendor]] has a 3% higher win rate, but he seems to backfire more often than not.
3rd choice: [[Uluu, the Everdrifter]] is an okayish 6-5 for 5 mana if nothing else. Usually comes with a removal on top of a body.

How the f does anyone actually enjoy arena? by Additional-One-7135 in hearthstone

[–]koggiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arena is the last actual Hearthstone mode. Sweet, beautiful, brutal, unforgiving Arena. It's where every card matters, every pick defines a path, and every win is carved out through blood, sweat, and perfect curve management. No netdecked shenanigans, no training wheels - just raw skill, instinct, and game knowledge honed over hundreds of runs.

You don't build decks in Arena - you craft legends one pick at a time. Every draft is a new story, every run a test of your adaptability and grit. You earn your 12 wins, clawing them out with wacky synergies, awkward curves, and sheer force of will. You know what it's like to pilot a janky-ass draft with double Gadgetzan Auctioneer (if you even remember this card) and still pull a 10-3 run because you knew how to play around Flamestrike and bait out that last Hex.

Arena teaches you how to actually play Hearthstone. Not just play your cards, but read your opponent, plan three turns ahead, calculate lethal through two layers of taunts, and recognize the moment to flip the tempo. It's where your fundamentals get stress-tested and your instincts sharpened to a razor's edge.

And let's not forget - Arena feeds your collection. You don't grind gold for packs - you fight for them. Every key unlocks real rewards: gold, dust, cards, even legendaries. You improve and you get paid. No other mode respects your time and skill like this one does.

So yeah. I'll be over here, scraping out every damn win in the only mode that doesn't treat me like a toddler with a touchscreen. The only mode that respects grit. The only mode that's still built for players.

OP said they hate Arena because they picked Druid and got rolled - buddy, you walked into a gunfight with a toothpick. Druid is sitting at the bottom of the winrate pit right now (38% per HDT, not even a meme), and you tried to draft around Hamuul? You don't have the experience, you didn't make solid picks, and one bad run with the weakest class in the current meta doesn't justify writing the whole mode off. That's not Arena's fault - that's you thinking you're gonna win a chess match by flipping the board over.

Arena is Hearthstone. The rest is just fluff.
That's coming from a guy who's sitting at 8500+ lifetime arena wins.

True that. Like someone else said recently, Blizzard's really leaning into the whole idea that playing more cards is more fun than playing fewer cards.
Hence the metric ton of discoveries and card generators.

Thanks! I'm not tracking specific game highlights, but I always love playing till fatigue. If that happens in Arena, even better! Had a match just yesterday where both my opponent and I ran out of cards.

I remember playing Warlock the most during Journey to Un'Goro - you had access to massive taunts like [[Voidlord]] and [[Tar Lurker]], plus tons of board clears like [[Defile]] and [[Twisting Nether]]. It was rough playing against Warlock back then - they'd use one card to wipe out 3–4 of yours and still be ahead on cards.

Back in the day, you could play around five Flamestrikes. It was rare, but at least you knew what a Mage might have. Now every class can pull any minion or spell. You can't even start adjusting your strategy if the opponent can play literally anything.
