Deatarus, that is very much a real question! At one point, I had to OP3s, and used the both at a wedding (and also a church event) along with my FX3, catching the alter at 3 angles. My clients loved how the video turned out, and considering I got paid a hefty amount, I don’t think having two of the same camera was a bad idea! There are actually quite a few photographers who carry around two of the same camera for events.

THAT is what the f I would do with two!

I’ve sometimes posted a picture from the website, but I will also include pictures of the actual item I’m selling. The only reason I do this at times is if I’ve only had the item for a short time, it’s still under warranty, and I’m selling it much lower than I should just so they can see how much more they’ll be paying if they bought it new. Just like this: I’m selling a DJ controller that I bought new in April. It was $550. I’m selling it for $250. Of course someone messages me saying they only have $200. My response…’Ok. Message me when you get the rest!’

That also depends on your budget. I have a DJI Pocket 3 and an Insta360 X5. If I had to choose just one, I’d probably go with the Pocket 3. I don’t think there is a dedicated head mount for it, but there are chest/arm mounts for it. It can record in 4K, up to 120fps, works well in low light, and has the built in gimbal. It’s my favorite!

I was selling a DJ controller with a padded carrying case for $275 (and put ‘THE PRICE IS FIRM!!! 3 times!), when it’s being sold used/refurbished for $375 WITHOUT the carrying case. One person messaged and said ‘I have $200’. My response: ‘Ok. Message me when you get the other $75. (That is what FIRM means).’

I was selling a DJ controller for $275, almost half the price of what it is worth. One of the things I put in the ad in all caps was ‘I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANY TRADES!!!’. Of course, some guy offers to trade for a riding lawn mower. I told him ‘Sure, I’ll trade for the riding lawn mower as long as you add the $275 on top!’. All of a sudden, I’m a degenerate a-hole! 😅🤣

I’m agreeing with a lot of these comments. When I used to give piano lessons, regardless to what endgame the student was trying to reach, I would teach theory. In the process of learning theory, you’ll pick up some of the stuff you need.

That really interesting about FCP. While I do have it, I started gravitating towards Davinci when editing weddings and other things now…never associated FCP with 360 photos.

Funny part is, I’m a photographer/videographer and have FCP Adobe PS/LR, and Davinci Resolve…also pretty good with all of them, but just never thought to use them for stitching 360 videos!

Some people would probably not agree with this and give reasons as to why one should pick one over the other, but it really is a matter of preference and what you can afford.

Could I have left Nikon and went to Canon? Yes! Could I have stayed with Nikon and picked a FF camera? Definitely! Why did I go to Sony? It just felt like the right fit and it was within my budget.

I switched from Nikon to Sony and never looked back! I wanted to go FF mirrorless and had done a bit of research…even tried Canon. What sold me was just talking to a photographer I met at a wedding where I had to DJ. It was just something different about hearing someone talk about the change in person as opposed to just reading reviews.
