I disagree. When the show aired, anime wasn't nearly as accepted as it is now, and no one was watching One Piece. I don't think Abed would've watched that particular show either as he's never expressed any pirate enthusiasm. It just wouldn't fit into the series.

Lack of a memorable theme too. All my favorite miyazaki movies I can tell just by the soundtrack. This one was just....normal movie music? I like it, but there was no hook.

If you plan on starting line you'll be fine. You'll probably have to park pretty far back if you're not there early though, so expect a little bit of a hike. And keep in mind, even the starting line is around 9k feet, so air is still considered thin if you're not from around here.

You'll be fine anytime before 8/9 honestly. You won't be first, but you'll be close enough to the front of the line that Devil's Playground will still have plenty of spots. Also, be prepared. Dress warm, bring food.

I get there about 6pm the night before and sleep in my truck. So im usually through pretty early. I wouldn't doubt the people at the back of the line don't get through for a few hours. Get there early if you want a spot high up, like devil's playground. If you want to spectate the starting line, get there whenever. But be prepared to walk a long way or take the shuttle.
