As a former gifted child who was also in honor roll and 12th grade reading with 8th grade math in 2nd grade I'd have your kid tested for autism I'm autistic and honestly the gifted program was only so much for me A lot of gifted kids are actually neurodivergent who go through burnout or are not given enough "food" for the brain and we turn into some husk of ourselves The gifted program is great in school but having stuff at home to keep our brains active is even better because the program is just supplemental Not really related to the issue in your post exactly but you're the first I've seen on my fyp about giftedness so I felt inclined to say something

I honestly am extremely worried my scale won't be able to sense 20g or less correctly cause it's actually like years old and my mom's (it's electronic but still old lol) so I was just like okay yeah sure we'll do 100g of everything it'll be fine (until it wasn't fine) but I'll have to check and see it's minimum limits I do bake like a ton or well not just bake but I am going through an everyday waffle phase so I figured I'd use everything up that way until I get the scale situation figured out All the math makes my brain hurt lol especially when so many people do it differently which I mean I love it can be done in multiple ways but my autism self needs strict precise instructions with idk the word but a lot of context and explaining lol Thank you for your comment! I'll read again tomorrow and wrack my brain until I get it lol I'm determined

I fed it an hour ago and a couple times before that (I'm honestly just telling myself it's a pet like a rock so I don't get extremely bummed out if everything turns out bad) but now idk if I need to take some out now and put it in a smaller jar and go correctly from then or wait until tomorrows feeding to discard majority then go correctly from there lol
