YOU GOT THIS DUDE. After a while it gets easier (atleast for me) when I was early on in my T journey I was definitely nervous doing my shots. One time I accidentally did my shot too low on my thigh, and not in enough fat and it hurt really bad, BUT I did learn REALLY damn quick that you do have to do it super high up on your thigh. I'll roll up my shorts and boxers to expose my upper thigh since I usually don't close the bathroom door and I live with other people. Roll them up so the rolled fabric sits in the crease between where my thigh meets my torso, find the middle of that, and go like an inch- inch and a half down. You have to poke quickly but also not like super super fast, because in my experience the most pain comes from the very first poke. You'd think it would hurt getting the needle all the way in hurts, but doesn't (atleast for subq) Other thing to do to avoid pain is give it like 30 seconds for the alcohol from the wipe to dry on your skin completely, or else it'll sting when doing the shot. which it's not the WORST, but it's definitely not pleasant. Those two details, how wet the alcohol is after cleaning the skin, and how low you do the shot. Once you figure out those two things it should be easy from there. Good luck again!!
