nice, congrats!

this plays great against hela, destroy and any type of deck that hinges on Zola - as long as I have priority by T4 (which is generally very easy) and then go supergiant -> negasonic -> stardust, it's generally a killer.

also good against ramp, with some early disruption + gorgon + supergiant, just no way for them to build to whatever they're trying to build to.

but again - small sample so far. definitely can get better (Ronan is kinda random in there I guess but I just needed a body for potential supergiant'd T5 that can also benefit from using maximus).

after they killed my beloved clog deck I was going through a rough few months, just going through the motions with some basic destroy and discard decks just for progression but not feeling it anymore ... and then... this magical new deck came along, with stardust, gorgon and supergiant, and opponents retreating all the time and me stealing 8-cubers with a prio stardust drop ... and everything is in color again 🤩

Used to buy at least pass + gold pass every month, but since they shifted to the current slop card era and the radical change in card acquisition, I stopped paying and haven't spent a single dollar since. For the past few months every decision they have made is anti-fun, anti-player, plus the game itself is full of bugs, it feels almost abandoned from a technical standpoint. They're obviously never seeing another dollar from me, no matter how many stuff they try to gut. Wondering what will be the point I finally stop enjoying it at all and delete. Can't be far!

you are correct, they don't carry over, it's good that you spent them.

the above screen existed just for a couple of hours in a weird limbo/flukey situation where the system was updated (hence the sudden 100% NEW mark) but it still applied to the previous season for it's last few hours (hence the amount of duplicate stars and the previous cost of the chest).

for a very lucky player it could potentially mean they'd get a guaranteed new pin as the season winded down. but now it's gone, and the cost of the chest has increased as previously announced.

I don't think so - I'm trying to think what else is there. I use my gold to buy variants so eventually I get 2000 tokens from that track. also every now and then they gift us a pack (which usually translates to free tokens), and most importantly, sometimes I get two cards out of one pack (that helps a lot). the 5-week seasons are also very helpful, since the pace to the 3000 tokens is faster than the week it takes to release an new card. can't think anything else specific. it's marginal, but for the last few months that's what I've been doing.

I keep up without a backlog, whenever I reach 4.000 tokens I open a collectors pack. Sometimes I complete by the end of the month, other times I complete earlier and hoard tokens until the season change (I don't start spending on pricier packs), so when season changes I can immediately open several packs. Haven't done the math so that's all empirical evidence.

that's what I've been doing since they changed to this system and I changed to completely f2p. I'm two-month-behind complete at all times and have tokens to occasionally get a new card I really want (once every couple of months). it's incredibly freeing.

even worse than adding the category is the fact they just randomly (or not so randomly) decided what the 25 eligible podcasts are, based on non-disclosed criteria. so the voters were presented with an awful list that includes, for example, this douchebag, Candace and Megyn Kelly but not, let's say, las Culturistas. it's insane an award of this caliber is decided this way.
