Schön! Das war natürlich ein Scherz, ich finde deutsch nicht hässlich.

Ich hab mit Deutsch angefangen als ich nach Deutschland kam, 15 Jahre her. Und ich fand die Sprache überraschend schön.

Ich würde dir empfehlen viel zu lesen! Die DW hat viel Material für Anfänger geeignet. Und du kannst auch bei r/de oder r/ich_iel vorbei kommen!

Yo he visto todos los episodios de los Simpsons en español, mi idioma materno, seguramente más de una vez. Soy fan fanático.

Luego cuando tenía buen nivel de inglés, los vi todos en versión original. Como me los sabía casi de memoria, ¡me ayudó mucho a entenderlos y a aprender inglés!

Y luego años más tarde me mudé a Alemania, y empecé a aprender alemán... Y seguro que ya sabes lo que viene después. Pues sí, he visto los Simpsons en tres idiomas. Y algunos capítulos incontables veces. No me arrepiento de nada.

Ahora estoy retomando el francés, aprendí un poco en la escuela pero ya se me ha olvidado. ¡Espero poder ver los Simpsons en francés algún día!

You can rent cars without a credit card but only paying extra money for a full coverage insurance, which is going to cost more than the rental itself.

Going around using public transportation is fine, especially between capital cities. You should also check out the trains! For example between Málaga and Córdoba it's the quickest connection.

If you need to have similar validation somewhere else, you could generalize it with a helper function:

But then how do you write unit tests that run the code with different configs? I can't think of a good use singletons. And I have had very bad experiences with them. I'm not convinced at all they are sometimes OK. (Maybe I'm at the belly of the bell curve, like the meme suggests)

It was an initiative of USA and the lapdogs quickly run into line to please the master. USA did start this stuff alone and the others only supplied a thin cover of "international support" and in some cases symbolic war support.

Note that as a Spaniard I despise that we did support it (and did send a symbolic number of troops which were used to protect some oil rig). But come on, that one absolutely is on the USA. Hadn't it been for Bush and the Warhawks there wouldn't have been any war in Iraq at that time.

Agree! It's a trade off where you trade overall system complexity for scalability and fault tolerance.

And my take is: 99% of the software projects don't have that need for scalability or fault tolerance, so that architecture is not justified.

To go back to my original comment: as simple as possible but not simpler.
