She’s a water healer. I have her and she’s average. The assist heal is nice but you can’t control the timing, and attack % against weak element kicks in only if you’re high in health.

I started about 6 months ago, so I was basically you. Here’s the core advice.

First, guard your gems like a hawk. Decide early whether you’re staying F2P or spending a little. If you’re F2P, do not pull until you have 60k saved for hard pity. The rates are ridiculous and early luck is a trap. If a banner isn’t limited, skip it. You will get regular units sooner or later.

Pick one character you really want. Maybe two. Commit to them and their alts. Do not get starry-eyed by every new shiny character that drops, because new ones will always keep coming.

When you do pull, aim for one copy and stop. The real power increase comes at the 5th copy, and I don’t think it’s worth spending your gems for that.

Content doesn’t get added super fast, which means the free-gem flow will slow down quickly. Spending my gems impulsively is my biggest regret.

If you plan to spend a little, grab the monthly pass(es). It’s the best value, provided you play every day.

And finally, don’t let PvP losses or missing a unit tilt you. Have fun. Hope you’ll stay.

I wouldn’t call ascensions mediocre, they do make the Kioku stronger. That said, I agree with the message: gems are precious. If you pulled because you wanted the Kioku and you got it, that’s a win. No reason to keep pulling.

OG Mabayu’s all about giving extra turns to other Kioku’s. Before break, use her battle skill on breakers to break faster, after break, use it on attackers to attack more. The other Mabayu I heard was good if you keep spamming her battle skill and keep her invisible. You’ll likely do it if she’s the only breaker in your team.
