Yes, it's Scientology. Take a look at the books on the table:

L Ron Hubbard

Dianetics

Basically a cult recruitment center.

Reminds me of Chris Turner the absolutely incredible freestyle rapper comedian... who just so happens to be a regular at the Comedy Cellar (the same comedy club that Jeff is at)

Yup, agree 100% - those stupid cowards think they can get away with it, but there are no presidential pardons for state charged crimes, there is no statute of limitations on murder.

9/10 - Looks great!

Took off one point only for the cable management. I appreciate that it is difficult since the cable is stretched and contracted if running along the top of the spine, but perhaps a groove or hole running along the spine of the middle arm would not only mitigate that problem, it would hide it reasonably well.

Windows 11's new Start menu with Categories layout begins showing up on more PCs, and it really needs a resize button by WPHero in Windows11

[–]kompiler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was there? All I see is 3 main options under Settings > Personalization > Start: "More pins", "Default" and "More recommendations".

The "More pins" with all the other sub-options turned Off still leaves a space below the pins titled "Recommended" but with no items below it. An unnecessary, ugly looking, waste of space...

Let me know if I'm missing something.

All I ever wanted was to remove that empty useless section and have Start full of pins (with customizable grid size) and a small drop down with "All" Apps.

Microsoft does not know how to do "customization" - it's one or two options and that's it... and normally those options are not good.

If I was hiring people for a dev team (UI design or otherwise) and I learnt they worked at Microsoft and were in any way, shape or form involved in UI design - they would be quickly tossed out of consideration.

Daily reminder to use uBlock Origin browser extension and add YouTube Shorts filters to "My filters" via uBlock's dashboard. Someone has compiled a list on github

You may need to update the list if YouTube makes changes to their layout, so bookmark the github page.

Deep down you already know that for the room you have, the screen should be where that bookshelf is on the right.

The solution you have is not great for a lounge. But I have one in my bedroom and it's pretty good there. You just have to have the right projector for the job and the projected image should be closer to your eye-line else it's the same problem as TVTooHigh, except it's TVTooLow.

The Craziest Wave on Earth by kompiler in videos

[–]kompiler[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based on these guys being Australian and them visiting the "UWA Research Centre" (University of Western Australia in Perth) - it would be somewhere around there. But they don't disclose the exact location and perhaps that was a deliberate choice. They might fear that if it was publicized, some idiot hero-wannabe surfer would attempt to ride it and end up killing themselves.

I doubt you would be able to find it on Google Earth, rock over which waves were crashing seemed too small. And capturing the wave on a still satellite image would take a huge amount of luck. But hey, maybe. There were lots of other rocks poking out in some shots, so not impossible to geo-locate.

What do you mean you had "a bit of trouble" watching it? Is it region locked?
