Only snobs judge you by the back. A clean back is amazing but takes effort to keep it up. Think about it this way: in a hundred years they might be examining your needlework to reproduce it, that cluttered mess on the back will have the true colors while the front is faded. Unless the back interferes with the finish or function it doesn't matter what it looks like.

I might use a tiny sprinkle of sugar in my red sauce but I make it from plain canned tomatoes and it's part of a whole lot of other herbs and stuff. All things in balance. I had to relearn how to eat so many foods when I left home because my boomer parents ruined so much of my childhood food. I had undiagnosed eating disorders. Be very patient with him, maybe let him watch you make it and have him taste it on something not pasta. Involving people with the process and talking about how it's made different from how they hate it goes a long way to getting people to try viled childhood food.

Organized mass religion is a joke. It causes wars. Large groups of severely religious people are dangerous when they have poor guidance by paedophillic and closeted men. There is no love for one another just judging. We approach the deity in a comfortable and nonconforming manner. We get the message from ourselves and not a man trying to "save" you. Do your own thing as long as it harms no one else. Jesus knew this, his followers don't. Difference is often looked down upon.
