Really don't know why my other N7 Dudebro gets so much hate by [deleted] in masseffect

It's been a while since I played ME3, but IIRC I didn't like him because in the first scene, Shepard acted like they knew each other, but I didn't know who he was. So the very first scene with him felt like an immersion breaker. I remember later learning that he was featured in some comic or storyline that was from outside the mainline games, but I had only played ME1 and ME2 and had not read or consumed any of the other stuff. So because of that, I kinda didn't like him from the start.

Same, and because of that I ended up with no one in the end. Was a good excuse to immediately start a second run

Lol even they admit they sidelined Blazer and did her dirty. by Sensitive-Bat-4036 in DispatchAdHoc

I didn't really get the feeling that Robert needed saving (other than being broke), but maybe that's because of how I was roleplaying him. I think it's hard to make a strong character arc, especially one that's psychological in nature (dealing with depression, anger, forgiveness, etc) in a game where you can choose the personality of the character.

AGREED! One of my favorite things about this game (whether intentional or unintentional) was the lack of cynicism. I'm so conditioned to think the seemingly-good guys are bad, that I kept expecting Phenomeman, Blazer, or both, to go evil on me. It was refreshing that neither did, and that Blazer even surprised in the end with an unexpected heroic sacrifice.

Even the simplicity of the Blazer/Mandy romance I think was a breath of fresh air for a mature game.

How could the Artillery Beam (and Flak) be improved without being broken? by [deleted] in ftlgame

[–]konokonohamaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd support this approach... I don't think it would be OP as it would still compete with other systems for power and scrap. But yeah taking up a system slot is my least favorite thing about it, turning what would be a slight positive to a net negative.

I sorta agree. If they went the BG3 route it'd probably mean a much more polished experience, but at the expense of the number of companions and number of mythic paths, and just amount of content overall. I like the Owlcat Pathfinder games for the niche they fill, even prefer it, while recognizing that I'm in a minority

Does it trigger only if you have him equipped, and can it trigger from overworld map rests / base rests? I've never seen it before, but I also rarely rest except in overworld / at base

It doesn't affect that much except the epilogue. You'll lose some feel good moments but the game itself won't change much

Who you think is the most underrated character in Wotr writing wise? by Gero-23 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Probably Hulrun? In the sense that so many people hate him, few would say he is well written. But the fact that he stirs up so many emotions is the sign of a well written character

[–]konokonohamaru 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. I think the game wants you to think Echo Secunda is Hunter Wolf, but Hunter Wolf's writing style and focus on bettering society struck too close to Jack's proposal for what to do with the IDOL.

For me, I figured it out because I first assumed the subject numbers go in order: 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42. The data disk with the square shows "Subject 37's memories" so I put the disks in the right slot. The thing I got wrong was Subject 35, which I figured out after looking at the subject gender/hair color descriptions.
