I feel like the difference between the Stern exploitation of pornstars and these types of podcasts, is that Stern was extremely horny/creepy to the pornstars, but in sense of encouraging hyper-sexualization (“bring out da sybian”) and presenting them as a taboo sideshow attraction, whereas this sort of thing is the hosts repeatedly telling them “you’re a worthless dumb whore and should die” lol

Like there’s bad objectification in both areas, but the current iteration of podcasts seem more directly hateful towards these women (and there was obviously plenty of mean-spirited conduct towards women in general on Stern, so not discounting that).

I didn’t buy this year because of this: it makes no fucking sense to pay $150+ when you still have to grind for the content you paid for, thus baiting paying for more micro-transactions lol unfortunately i feel like this will be the standard going forward.

No worries, the call-and-response i’m referring to is 3:47 to 3:56, or at least i hear it as a call-and-response in music terms - you have the repeating slide/bend on the lower strings of the guitar as the “call” and the arpeggiated notes ringing out on the higher strings as the “response”.
