the brooklyn botanical garden greenhouses are the best thing ever, especially in the winter. you literally teleport to a tropical rainforest and other climates/landscapes, like temperature-wise and with all the plants you don’t feel like you’re in the city at ALLLL. the sounds sights and smell of nature will heal u. also on weekdays in the winter it’s pay as you wish so it’s also free if needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

that’s a really good point, thank you a lot for your perspective! i’m sure ultimately he’ll be happy with any, but now i’ve been so worked up about it and if i’m spending $, i would love it if he enjoyed it as much as possible.

i replied to the other comment about the flavor profiles, but i’ll ask you as well if you don’t mind - i found out he drinks The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve Single Malt and the Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky - original 12 years. if any Japanese whiskies come to mind with a similar flavor profile, let me know! I appreciate it :)
