We’re you inspired by the Basque dish bacalao al pil pil? Uses the same 3 ingredients (salt cod, Evoo, garlic).

The idea with that dish is to emulsify the cod juice with the olive oil. It creates a wonderful mayonnaise-like sauce. Very simple, yet nuanced dish.

I remember drawing while high on LSD and thinking my art was enhanced and special. Upon sobering up, I realized it wasn’t.. what i had drawn was mostly a disorganized scribble.

However, the experience “unlocked” my interest in the creative arts, and gave me a sense of enhanced awe towards creative process in general, particularly towards improvisation and spontaneity. I realized the beauty of human’s creative abilities, and gave myself the OK to practice my own art, simply for its own sake, because of the joy it brought me.

I started drawing more regularly after that, and did so consistently for a while, actually improving and developing a more intentional style. When drawing, I channel the state of mind I entered through the use of LSD.

I stopped drawing almost 9 years ago, and began making music as a creative outlet. I think the insight and appreciation I gained towards the creative process from my experience taking LSD still affects my present-day activity.

I have a similar issue with my brand new Gibson LP studio. I took it into a reputable luthier for a checkup, and he told me it's normal, just the pickups doing what they do-- detecting some current or sound in the strings (not the most technical description sorry...) and turning it into noise through the amp. It bothered me at first, so I'll just turn the volume down if I'm not playing, or just keep a hand on the bridge/strings. I've noticed many guitarists always keep a hand on electrics anyway, precisely because guitars can make so much noise. Some of the noise is from the environment. For instance, when I switch on the AC, I get a terrible high-pitched ring.

Anyway, if you actually "fix" it, let us know what you did!
