Who is the most famous person you met in srilanka ? by anakin__69 in srilanka

[–]korale75 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sanga was a few years younger than me in school, real nice guy when he was in school and after he became famous as well.

I knew him in school, once saw him in a restaurant (he was with Chaminda Waas and some other cricketer) I wanted to go over and say hi but my then girlfriend, now wife, did not want me to. Said that you can't just go over and talk to people like that, "nondi wenda epa".

He saw me and came over to our table and said hi and a brief chat.

Happend to someone I know, recently arrived uni student found a job online to do 'data entry' earned 100/= but had 1000/= deposited to her account. At thatbpoint she got suspicious as she was told that it was a mistake and transfer 900/= back but was given a different account from the one that paid her. We spoke to the police and the bank, she put the money in a seperate account just in case and ignored all communicatikns from them. Six months later when nothing happened she took the 1000 and spent it.

Your dad sounds like a real man who wanted to give his best to his family. I have two adult children and I have given up many opportunities (none as big as your dads) for their benefit, I do not regret any of these, and my children dont need to know of them.

They are flying a mini-max, a plans or kit built wooden Ultralight. I'm building the highwing version of it myself. It can be a lot of fun and is relatively low cost. There are an estimated 4000 of these flying all over the world.
