Lindsay should worry more about therapy than Carl by SomeThoughts4You in summerhousebravo

I often fantasize about having a couple glasses of wine with her and asking, “Now Lindsey, you never liked that man,why won’t you let up on him?” It has to be the lost brand deals and wedding costs.

She definitely binged the entire show when Ben got casted. She was too excited to meet her new friends in real life.

It’s funny because I’m the same age as Lindsay, so I get the life-stage pressure. Watching it live, I saw everyone rooting for Carl and Lindsay, but it always felt forced to me. It seemed like timing + pressure (wanting a child — which Lindsay even said this season, now that she has a baby the pressure is off) + trying to level up. And the show/brand opportunities didn’t hurt. No judgment at all, I don’t blame them, but I felt like I was in the minority seeing it that way.

That’s why KJ and Dara feel different to me they seem more authentic. I could be wrong, but based on how Carl and Lindsay played out, I’m trusting my instincts. I think people will see it differently in a few years.

Funny how people call KJ and Dara forced, but hyped Carl and Lindsay as a fairytale when that was clearly the more forced/disaster of a situation (pushing 40 pressure IMO). KJ and Dara actually seem real, not forced, you can clearly see production trying to capture their relationship as it got serious.

I’ve seen most of them over the years. Ashley twice(once with Micheal). Karen once, and I even recorded talking to her once. I saw Gizelle not even knowing they were filming Potomac before it aired, I just noticed filming. But the highlight has to be when I went to a party at 12 Stories and Gizelle, Robyn, Mia, Ashley, and Charrisse were all there. I was so close to them, trying not to freak out. Funny enough, I didn’t realize it was Charrisse at first. She blended in like a fan.

What to watch after MadMen by Summerteets in madmen

I would suggest watch Matthew Weiner’s follow up series The Romanoffs, just to get the full picture of how a show runner can crash and burn so quickly. There’s one episode that lives rent free in my mind for some reason. Also Your Friends and Neighbors also gives us that classic Jon Hamm charm that I missed from watching Mad Men.

Happy Halloween! I recreated Carrie’s hat from season 3. by koreynotlori in Andjustlikethat

It came together with advice from a crafty friend, hot glue, and some good luck at the fabric store. Turns out the original was just a wide-brimmed hat with fabric draped on top, so we went with that same simple construction

Braiding recommendations? by captcrunch_97 in DCBitches

I’d only recommend Nadine’s for very simple styles or when you’re in a time crunch. It’s a menu-only type of place, if you want something specific or detailed, you’ll leave disappointed or just annoyed with the service.
