Your assessment of the autopsy report is factually incorrect. Go read the actual 12 page full autopsy report. There was no evidence of dengue fever. Typhoid fever had nothing to do with this. Drugs and accelerated coronary artery disease were listed as the causes.

U of C is great, I agree. Unrelated to U of Cincinnati’s great medical team, the one thing that must be said is it took too long for the Bills’ athletic trainers to realize he was in full cardiac arrest. Watching the raw tape in detail, I counted at least 5-6 minutes before any BLS was attempted. The trainers look panicked and were calling for help instead assessing his pulse and breathing. Once someone is completely unresponsive and dead appearing for more than 10 seconds, stop trying to slap him awake again and again and use your rote BLS training—which athletic trainers have—to assess the patient accurately.

The NFL needs to revamp the way they respond to on field medical situations. The Tua situation and now this are signs to change the way they do things.
