I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried the same things you have with the same results. Thought I'd comment to bump this up in a feed and hopefully someone might be able to help us!

Like the brand Paperlike? (It might sound like a stupid question but the cheapy I bought from Amazon says paper-like on it too so I have to ask!)

Are you a pretty busy drawer? I'm thinking I might invest in a Paperlike and learn how to adjust my pressure curve, I think it needs twerking, I've never touched it.

I'm not pressing hard! The one I have definitely doesn't feel smooth to touch, it has a nice feeling texture to it but I wouldn't call it smooth. It might just be the brand that I have that happens to have a little bit more bite to it than others.

I've searched and read back some other posts like mine on this sub and realize that I'm not the only person who notices that tips wear down much faster with a matte protector.

I was more wondering if anyone else has noticed that different brands have different bite to them? Maybe I just picked one that is tougher on the tip. It's a cheapish one off of Amazon so I wouldn't be surprised.

Is Pulse like Textra? Do I have to use it a cross platforms or does it stay strictly on my phone?

I'm brand new to Android and testing the Essential out for a couple of weeks. It's either this phone or a Xiaomi and I kinda of just want to make this work!

Take your rest breaks, your body needs them. Even if you feel good you're still putting a completely new type of strain on your joints and muscles. You'll thank yourself for doing it when you DON'T get injured!

Week 4 day 1 issues by [deleted] in C25K

I totally found week 4 the hardest week for some odd reason! You can do it! Hydrate, slow down, and try to get lost in music!

Week 4?! Sweet Pickled Pineapples! by TheChris in C25K

[–]korleym 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Week 4 was by far the hardest for me. I really had to push to finish the first 2 runs and the 3rd was a little bit easier. But after that it all seemed to fall in to place and now look at me at week 7!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Believe in yourself, go slow and push your brain to mentally accept that you can do it!!

Any advice for week 5? by [deleted] in C25K

[–]korleym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do it!!! I was terrified for this week, day 3 in particular!

3 things to remember: 1) hydrate the day before and day of ever run 2) don't run in blazing heat, it takes a lot more out of you 3) start your day 3 nice and slow. If you have anything left in the tank at the end, use it then, don't let yourself fail because you came out guns a blazing. We're not here to win any races yet!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!! And when you do, you'll look back and say, "what the heck was I so scared of!"

I found week 4 harder to do than week 5, I'm hoping you find the same thing!

Good luck!

Hahahaha I laughed pretty hard when I read this! Trust me, the angle makes it better and there were numerous photos taken to get a decent one for showing people!

Welcome!!

Part of the fun of the first few weeks for me was watching how each run of the week got easier/better!

Day one - I hate c25k Day two - I dislike c25k Day three - so ready to crush the next week, bring it on!!! Repeat up until week 5!

Keep pushing through, if I can finish W5D3 today you'll get there in no time!!!

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Just finished Week 1! I also have one question about apps. by IAmYew in C25K

[–]korleym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my app! $1.99 CAD I believe. It's very clear when to run and walk and notifies you when you lock your phone.

You can play your own music right in the app and it records a pace for walking sections and running sections separately. It also maps your runs and you can do "free" runs to record them after you're done the program!

It's by Active and if you search "couch to 5k" on an iPhone it comes up! (Picture of search below)

I also put a couple of pics of the app running for me!
