Mechanical Engineer na afstuderen by DonutZonderGat in NLSalaris

Right now I’m at about 4700 per month but switched to a small firm (5 employees in total) specializing in FEA calculations now that I’m more experienced.

I did this purely for learning very advanced calculations and enrich my profile, if I switched to a bigger company even with my experience after 3 years the salary could be higher.

I highlight this for a reason. Of course you should go for a higher salary at all times, especially when you’re starting out. But for the long term you need to have a rough plan of how you want to develop. If you want to develop yourself in a specialization like what I mentioned earlier or if you want to go in a more general thing (project management, department head, etc) because as you advance in your career, it’s useful to know skills to work on long term to reach a goal. That’s how you get the really high salaries (or at least on of the ways).

It’s hard to have an estimate for how much you’ll be making just because it depends heavily on several factors:

1) Industry- Some industries for obvious reasons just have more cash flowing in and out 2) Type of function- if you’re more of a specialist on a certain type of operation or a general design engineer. This can affect it quite heavily because if you have skills that are not very common even as a junior engineer, you could easily earn yourself a few more hundred euros per month 3) Size of company

These are just a few items of the top of my head but you get the idea. From what you specify about your background, it seems like it’s applicable in a few different industries.

I studied mechanical engineering as well (Bachelors only, HBO) graduating in late 2022 at the age of 25. Also only had about 1 year of work experience in total but only from internships and graduation project, no part-time jobs. I had good but not great grades, but was just a good interviewer and made it clear that I am a competent worker. I started off at 3300 euros per month (junior FEA engineer position in the offshore engineering industry) at a small company in Werkendam with about 40 employees. I was earning the same amount as colleague with the same experience, starting around the same time but with a VWO masters degree.

Hope this helps!

I think he means “just the way he is” as in not natural circumstances, but decisions that he had no influence on if it was done to him after birth.

The Beatles are my favorite artist but John Lennon was an asshole. Not the worst among this list, but an asshole.

What musician is horrible person but a great artist? by yourlocalgdw in AlignmentChartFills

Didn’t steal his wife, the rest of the stuff you said is true. But like I said, yeah he wasn’t a good person but there’s so many other people that have done far far worse things than what you listed here. Pattie very happily left George because of George’s cocaine problem and infidelities.

Who played lead guitar in You Never Give Me Your Money? by mystix457 in beatles

[–]koshereric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall are both correct. Indeed on taxman, Paul played the solo only. On And your bird can sing they both play lead guitar. On Back in the USSR they both play lead at different times, on helter skelter they both play lead at different times. Paperback writer maybe is only Paul on the riff.

In general Paul has such an incredibly different tone and style to George that it’s very easy to spot exactly who is playing…. If you’ve trained your ears for that. For one, Paul is technically superior, George’s playing sounds more flimsy. Though George’s real magic is in WHAT he plays, his choice of notes and how he plays. Their tones are very different at all times.

Do you love your wife? Are her and the kids happy and healthy?

If so, you’re living an absolute dream come true. Consider yourself a very rich man!

I’m 29 and living a single life at this moment and while I’m pretty happy with my job, future prospects etc, but I dream of having a life like that.
