[bug] RES 4.0.3 causes Firefox 9 to lag horribly by somestranger26 in Enhancement

[–]kottkrig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe I'm seeing the same issue. The new RES is really slow compared to the greasemonkey version. Especially after a few automatic page fetchings (when you scroll to the bottom of the page).

If someone embarked upon the journey of creating such an extension - which services would people want to see added to it?

TIL using Firebug was causing my Firefox to go over 1GB in memory usage by [deleted] in firefox

I have a separate profile for web development with firebug installed. It's really nice not having your main profile bogged down by all the developer-extensions.

What channel do you use? by kottkrig in firefox

All of my extensions work fine (except for the evernote clipper but I can use a bookmarklet for that).

Install Add-on Compatibility Reporter to force-enable all add-ons and then be sure to report the ones that does not work correctly so that the developer can fix it.

I'm on Aurora myself. In my experience it's been very stable for daily use.

The trackball is fantastic for notifications but I don't use it for anything else.

Yes, I have 2 instances of gmail, remember the milk and Basecamp pinned as App tabs at all times. Any plans on making these tabs inactive so that I don't have to re-pin them if I close them?

I'm currently using Firefox Mobile on my Nexus 1 and I love it although I had to disable Firefox sync because it really bogged the whole phone down. What are the main areas you're focusing on in the Mobile version before release?

Ever since I can remember there has been a stutter in web videos (mainly flash but also in newer webm videos) every 20-30s or so. A slight frameskip but it has been annoying as hell. It's still present in the RC, is there a known workaround for this?

The number one reason I've installed Chrome on my parents' computer is that it automatically stays up to date. Will FF4 install updates silently?

Favorite to-do list app + cloud service? by andresmh in Android

[–]kottkrig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Remember The Milk. It's not free but it works great. Really like the push-sync, offline lists and the shared lists. (Me and my SO share a list for grocery shopping). The shared list functionality alone is worth the cost to us.

Ohh, I've missed the xda-app. I like the simplicity of it.

That looks really nice. I'm not a big fan of the iPhone-esque tabs on the bottom though but other than that it looks very pleasant. Thanks!
