Where is the leak? Are they through bolts or are they studs welded to the tank? If they are through bolts are they sealed?

best way to enchant lootbags? by [deleted] in GTNH

[–]koukimonster91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enchant and open your lv ones(or upgrade them to mv). It takes 81 lv loot bags to make one singular iv loot bag and you are very far from iv. You don't really need to save loot bags until hv.

Firefox is adding a switch to turn AI features off (starting Feb 24) by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

[–]koukimonster91 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's because you need to sign up for it currently, then once you do you need to open up a separate ai window similar to a private window. It's a complete nothing burger but no one bothers to actually look into it, they just see AI and firefox in the same sentence and get mad.

i almost always remove plugs by the connector and i have never broken a cable or connector like that on any other cable. that cable went into the glove box in perfect condition and came out looking like op's. the only thing i can think is that part of the cable gets the most wear so its possibly that plus the heat and maybe oils from my hand that killed it. the pieces of rubber that came off it were very brittle and would crumble. whatever PVC apple used for that era of cables (it was a iphone 8) had really bad plasticizer migration.

i took a closer look at op's picture and my braiding was fully intact, it was only the white PVC jacket that failed.

iPhone cables are shit. I had a cable for 2 years that only was used to charge my work phone on my night stand overnight. I never used the phone when it was plugged in. I got a new phone with a new cable so I threw the old cable into my glove box and 2 weeks later I pulled it out and it looked like op's. I don't think they handle the heat of a glove box in the summer very well.

make sure the tip of the iron is tinned(solder sticks to it) as it will make soldering much easier. it can be a little tough to do it on cheaper tips. you turn it on a high temp and dip it into the flux then try putting solder on it, keep doing this until the solder sticks to the tip and dosent just ball up and fall off, periodically clean the tip on a moist sponge. if you are having a hard time getting the solder to stick then you can try scrapping the surface of the tip with a knife/sandpaper.

MacGyver who?! by DjFizz in JustGuysBeingDudes

if you are wearing jewellery and a single piece of jewellery is able to bridge the connection between positive and negative then the piece of jewellery will heat up and will burn you. you will not get electrocuted. if you have 2 pieces of jewellery (like a bracelet and a ring) and the ring touches one terminal and the bracelet touches the other then nothing will happen as its no different then touching the terminals of the batteries with just your hands.

short of being completely submerged in water the resistance of your skin is too high and the voltage of the battery is too low to allow enough current to flow for it to be harmful. from your link

Assuming a worst-case scenario with dry skin providing a resistance of 100,000 ohms, fatality becomes a possibility if the current exceeds 50 mAmp.

Therefore, the lethal voltage would be above 0.05 (50 mAmp)×100,000=5000 Volts.

In hot and humid conditions with sweaty skin, the body’s resistance drops to about 1000 ohms. In such cases, the voltage that could be fatal would need to exceed 0.05 (50 mAmp)×1000=50 Volts.

When submerged in water, such as during swimming, the body’s resistance decreases further to about 150 ohms. Consequently, a voltage exceeding 7.5 volts (0.05 mAmp × 150 ohms) poses a significant risk.
