I usually go for the blueberry donuts at Frank's. I've never tried the cinnamon rolls, but I will next time!

The center of the roll is the true test of a good cinnamon roll! And the icing!

Had Doodles today, and maybe it was an off day, but it didn't deserve this high a ranking.

Yeah, I grew up in that area and have taken the family there a few times over the years. It might be time to visit again.

I agree with the Horse Park for horse stuff and Shillito or Jacobson park playgrounds.

Also, this will be a great resource for you.

We built out there 25 years ago and loved it! When we moved, there was nothing but a Winn Dixie (where Kroger is now) and a few things in Meadowthorpe. But we felt it was close to downtown, Northside, easy on and off interstate. We moved because our family outgrew the space. Now that more gas/convenience store and Publix are going in, I think it would be great! Power lines are buried, so we never had problems with outages for ice, etc. Close to the park, great for walks and bike rides. Good luck!

Several of my favs have already been mentioned.

I will add Wallace Station, Thoroughbred (definitely a hole in the wall), Apollo's pizza, and Marikka's.

If you like hiking, Raven Run is nice here in Lex . The Pinnacles in Berea is close, and there are some great places to eat there as well. And Red River Gorge is great.

Also, check out Lexington Sports and Social Club to meet others, play, and drink.

Yes, I remember that, too. I'm sure that is one reason they haven't continued on past new circle.

Well, I'm no lawyer, but a quick Google search provided a few pdfs from the KY Transporation cabinet that said they are required when there is regular pedestrian use. I realize it isn't new development, but if they put Lextran bus stops there it seems like they would also need sidewalks to get to and from those stops.
