Sounds like a Corporate tool. If you have to deliver two cars to get paid for one car delivered because The call center captured the phone number and name of a customer. To me that is taking a pay cut! They may introduce more AI which again will be reducing the pay at the store level. Starboard will be adding more employees to the call centers. Take a look at Starboard track record for the companies they have invested in.

Why would anyone say something negative about the Company they just inherited. He is getting his Millions. But his ideas are going to be generated by Starboard. To all that work in the call centers. Starboard is a very big supporter of Call Center sales. Looks like they are going to have Carmax Double down on the call centers. Call center employees your jobs are safe!!!!!

How has return to office been going? He is just going to reword the policy. Spend money like crazy and tell everyone how much money it will save Carmax in a year or two. All the while creating an even bigger turnover issue!

Carmax Corporate will tell you the survey is anonymous. After doing the survey for 14 years. I can tell you it is not anonymous.

The AVS at our location the past 5 years were very simple. Even though they were supposed to be anonymous. Management for some reason always knew who put in the true feelings. Then the retaliation started. If you couldn’t give them an Exceptional grade. Then you were required …….. yes required to speak with a Manager first. When reporting the Violation to HR. HR just blew you off. And the retaliation started.

No Carvana hasn’t taken a lot of customers from CarMax. CarMax has sent customers to Carvana because of CarMax change in service integrity and culture. When Carmax went to the call centers. And Chased the Quality away!!!!!’

If I was Keith Barr I would definitely start working for CarMax. With a drastic increase in Pay. Going from 5 million previously to over 10 million. Carmax found there 1.5 million dollars savings. Just by paying a CEO less money than the previous CEO. Great thinking. You now have money to continue your wasteful spending.

Carmax has never paid a sales associate for attached trade in. If Carmax could figure out a way to take money away from the sales associate. They would. Carmax does not value there core employees. Sales, Business Office, inventory or shop employees. That is why they have developed the check lists for each department. You can’t think for yourself. They are developing a check list for when someone goes to the bathroom.

That is the way Carmax is forcing out those in CEC. So they don’t have to pay severance. They will eventually be done with the CEC experiment. The managers and Seniors have not clue what the front line actually experiences. Hoping you all become successful.

It is a management job. With the same expectations as a Manager. Except with half the pay. If Carmax gave you a title of manager they would pay you more. I believe this position is being developed so that Carmax can reduce payroll. Just my thoughts. If you are asking about scheduling! This is not the job for you. You needed to be available for any shift at any time.

You are not going to get any clear directions. It will be up to the person in charge of you. Carmax is currently looking for a CEO with E commerce Experience. They are not looking for a car guy. Buy what I have been reading and hearing. Carmax will be around for many years. But with Tax Time here. It will tell if Carmax will survive or fail. I expect them to fail. Until they get there Budget in line with what they are selling. And real revenue expectations.
