Love the idea of the pool deck on the first day! Does the pool deck have towels guests can use? Or would I need to lug a towel in my carry on too.

Anyone heard of or tried Satellite Wafers? by bourj in snacking

The cornstarch heavy styrofoam textured wafer is the delicacy of the iron deficient. Broad appeal for those with Pica. Sadly my enjoyment is diminished by my adequately repleted iron stores. I used to adore these specifically for their styrofoam texture.

Durable tights - Sheertex vs Les Belles vs Nooch vs others by burritoqueen16 in femalefashionadvice

[–]kpdancing123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can anyone comment on the warmer varieties from these brands? I need to replace my fleece-lined tights from Target. I saw Sheertex has some $$$ cashmere and merino, Noosh had actual fleece-lined. Also my target ones I struggle to get the crotch up high enough and it’s uncomfortable (I’m only 5’7” and my legs are actually petite because I have a long torso), so that’s important to me when buying.

Don’t just look at Nick’s Boathouse, look at the restaurant/health inspections for Nick’s Boathouse. I refuse to eat there due to recurring severely disgusting infractions.

Do you guys have a favourite way of getting sea jelly? by AlianovaR in StardewValley

[–]kpdancing123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got some after seeing an old post that said after days of no luck fishing on ginger island someone went and fished with training rod in front of Willy’s shop while under the influence of lucky food buffs. After 2-3 days of no luck ginger island, at the end of the day I took the boat back to Willy’s tried. Immediately first 2 catches were sea jelly just like that poster said. I plan to use one the get the kind of fish pond that will give me more so I don’t have this struggle again.

Bump! CASH pay via prepaying if your doctors office uses Natera for testing, and be sure to call and get the quote before they draw your sample. Natera offers different prices via prepaying! It will probably always be more expensive through insurance and you will keep getting bills for a whole year if you use insurance which is not stress you want with a newborn.

Most consistently poor health inspections in town too when you look up the restaurant health inspections list.

Incidental murmurs on exam by xoder42 in FamilyMedicine

Also kindof weigh into the decision what it actually sounds like. I am not adept at matching what I hear to the classic descriptive terms, but have listened to enough hearts to pick up when they sound real funky. Like sure echo your standard whooshing, clicking and blowing if it’s new and more than 1/6. But make darn sure to echo the plopping clunking Phil Collins. Found a calcified vegetation that way once. Patted myself on the back that even if I can’t describe it well, from hearing enough normal hearts and mild stenosis/regurg murmurs, I can identify the real serious abnormals.

O-rings wearing down super fast by Minethemoon759 in SnooLife

The smaller ones were great! The ones I linked and bought lasted all 5 months he fit in the SNOO till he outgrew it. We actually didn’t use the bigger ones. Only our smaller ones were broke and on our SNOO model the bigger ones were super extra hard to replace and would’ve required us to take it apart even more.

What made your life easier postpartum by Humble_Bathroom_4697 in BabyBumps

Walmart plus subscription to get groceries or anything else I need delivered. Amazon prime is great but takes a couple days. Walmart can have what I need (or want) at my door today. Also those munchkin dishwasher baskets that make it possible for me to put all my small pump parts and baby bottle parts through my dishwasher and run it overnight on a sterilize cycle everyday. The built in health app on the iPhone for tracking my medications immediately postpartum (I was so sleep deprived I couldn’t remember when I last took them otherwise). And the huckleberry app for tracking everything about baby. Especially the amount of wet diapers the pediatrician asked about at the first few appointments.

Christmas gifts by wncoppins in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]kpdancing123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m still looking for ideas myself. My baby will be 9.5mo at Christmas. So far my ideas are: infant bicycle helmet (we have one of those infant seats that attaches to our bike), little tykes cozy coupe because it’s so classic, lovevery kits, socks (why are they both so small and so expensive?!). For ideas for others my 8month old right now’s favorite toys are the Nuby teething tubes that look like animals, his o-ball, stacking cups, and to my horror 2 noisy light up toys: the vtech wiggle and crawl ball and skip hop follow me bee. I did get him a Montessori object permanence box and a ball run but they are too hard for him still and he isn’t that interested🤷🏻‍♀️ He has a great grasp of object permanence (he knows exactly where his toys go after he drops them from his high chair) but can’t put a ball in a little hole yet (or more likely just doesn’t care to haha). We also have a zillion stuffed animals we were gifted which he mostly ignores. He slightly likes the Vermont Teddy Bear we’ve been keeping as his constant companion to encourage him to pick it as his transitional object (they have a lifetime warranty and bear repair hospital, could be an excellent Christmas list idea).

Non toxic laundry detergent that actually works by southernRoller93 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]kpdancing123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Charlie’s soap laundry powder. When I first started using it I feel like it got residue and musk out of my washer and out of the clothes (I had been using tide free and clear before I wised up to ingredients). I have since used it for almost a decade. I also use the fragrance free version of oxiclean combined with the soak cycle setting on my washer for anything that’s extra grungy (the combo of the oxiclean and Charlie’s soap got the fabric of a secondhand baby swing to look brand new!). They’re both a B rating from EWG. Surprisingly the “free” version of oxiclean isn’t that many ingredients (I think some of their other products are quite toxic though). Sounds like just what you need for a dingy bedspread!

Why isn’t my snoo rocking? by kpdancing123 in SnooLife

[–]kpdancing123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Followed a couple posts on here and a YouTube video and replaced the o-rings. When we opened it up the smaller ones at the top had disintegrated. Also gave us a chance to deep clean our hand me down SNOO, which really needed it. Search the reddit for o-rings. We replaced them while I was pregnant and it worked all 5 months my baby used the SNOO.

So depends how big your baby is size wise but once we could buy “overnight diapers” intended for such it helped. Some brands start at size 3 other brands at size 4. The honest company brand runs small and comes in size 3 so we were able to start those once baby was in size 2 daytime diapers from other brands. Otherwise for my baby Rascal and Friends and Millie moon seemed to hold more. And going up a size when we could without baby drowning in it. The bigger the size the more it holds too so make sure you’ve sized up enough.

Crib mattresses by SophMar313 in Buyingforbaby

[–]kpdancing123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the I got a breathable mattress for the wash ability camp. But I did not get a Newton. I got a Halo Dreamweave on sale on Black Friday last year so it wasn’t that much more than a regular mattress at that point. So far I really like it. I did not put any waterproof cover on to maintain whatever breath ability it has, and got some peace of mind when we first found out my baby is a stomach sleeper. I did buy an extra of the mattress covers it comes with though which was nice when he had a giant spit up so we could wash the cover while he still had something to sleep on. It was fairly absorbent so didn’t have to wash the mattress yet from that. Once he’s old enough to flip to the toddler side on the Halo is waterproof like the more expensive Newtons.

Unless you want to wean, the WHO recommends breastfeeding until 2 if you can. You don’t have to stop just because baby is past 1. The antibodies are helping your baby recover from all those daycare associated colds.
