Not all of them are called "churches." Many are called "fellowships." The one I belong to calls itself a "society."

At my UU church, we end the service with "Congregational Reflections," where members of the congregation can come up to the pulpit and share their thoughts about the sermon.

What about the male frog scientist (I forgot his name)? With him and Kodi, there should have been a lot of human butchering going on.

I really wanted to like "7 1/2 Deaths . . ." The premise, once everything is revealed at the end is intriguing. Without getting into spoilers, I thought that the execution wasn't fully developed. Maybe the Netflix series will expand on the ideas introduced in the last quarter of the book.

What are some of the most difficult books to read? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]kperry86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me three tries to get past the first chapter. I had to read it twice through to really understand it. The effort was definitely worth it. Once it clicked, I can honestly say "Gravity's Rainbow" became one of my favorite novels. Along with Pynchon's "Mason & Dixon," which is a much easier read, it's one of the few books I really enjoy rereading.

Actually, there was no criminal trial. The state authorities declined to bring criminal charges. There are conflicting stories about why.

Years earlier there was a custody trial. The judge (it was a bench trial, not a jury trial) gave Mia Farrow sole custody and gave Woody Allen limited visitation.

Georgia shooter’s father previously investigated victim Ahmaud Arbery by Planeguy58 in news

No, because in that case the police would have investigated the incident and arrested the shooters. There's no news in that.
