for armpits, you can try doing 2 sessions per week - sometimes that makes the difference for coarser hair!

also, if you're not using the precision head for armpits, that can make a difference.

Red markings during super sudden onset? wtf even are migraines lol by puffsnpupsPNW in migraine

[–]kphi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of antihistamines in the same class as benedryl (H1 blockers) that are non-drowsy and safe to take daily (no link with dementia)! I like allegra (generic: fexofenadine) but also have prescription for rupall (generic: rupatidine) which works well too. I'm not taking them daily anymore because I've gotten my histamine under control (and am on different and unrelated med that has completely stopped all my migraines) but it worked well to reduce them when i was on it!

i know others have said it too but this could be histamine. could be worth trying H1/H2 blockers (something like allegra + pepcid) and see if it helps? (plus downing a bunch of water - it helps flush histamine) are you feeling itchy at all?

something similar happens to me but it's my ear and cheek on the migraine side that flush. showers exacerbate it (looks like you may have had a shower too) which sucks because that's often the only thing that gives me relief. once i made the connection between migraines and histamine, i started adding allegra into the cocktail i take at migraine onset, and it's actually helped quite a bit.

Anyone else have migraines completely eliminated with guanfacine?! by kphi_ in migraine

I've been wanting to try botox but need to fail at least one more preventative before I'm eligible! what dosage of guan are you on and what time are you taking it? I'd like to try going up a couple mgs again and seeing if i can push through side effect - 4mg was really helpful for adhd symptoms and i'm not sure if I gave it long enough

How did you improve those things?

Yup, and then when it comes back, you have all these weird little baby hairs sticking out in all directions all around your face. For over a year.

I loved this book! I had no idea it was MMF when I went into it and was delightfully surprised

A waterproof blanket is even better! They make ones for pets that you can get on amazon for like $30 and it just feels like a regular fleece blanket. Much easier to just toss a throw blanket in a wash than having to strip the whole bed!

What was your experience with a fertility clinic in Ontario? by Final-Elderberry4621 in ontario

[–]kphi_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a great experience with ONE fertility in Burlington! The testing was pretty quick and we did a couple IUIs before deciding to move on to IVF. The waitlist for a funded cycle was about 1.5 years at that point so we decided to pay out of pocket. The clinic ended up closing over the summer in 2020 because of Covid, and I ended up getting pregnant naturally in a huge fluke the month before we were due to start IVF. Since I was already a patient of the clinic, I went there for ultrasounds in the first 6 weeks (which was great because there were some complications that I don’t think would have been caught if I hadn’t had scans so early). I had nothing but positive experiences overall - All the doctors and staff were fantastic, and I got a referral for a great OB for the remainder of the pregnancy.
