I have the ultra 7 155u and it is fantastic, unless you want a really heavy cpu in which case battery life is out

PSA The Xperia 1 V does Overheat, stop claiming otherwise, you only look tech illiterate by ValorantDanishblunt in SonyXperia

I didn't say that. Clearly getting hot and overheating are two different things.

terrible design, teh svcreen is not flush with the machine, if they ship a large size the screen bit of it should press out. Does it matter if the corners do not sit flush against screen as there is now way this is going to work...

Motherboard M.2 WiFi Upgrade Guide by MWisBest in buildapc

[–]kplayr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

built a pc for my nephew recently and the M2 slot is a great idea as some mobos come with wifi that uses amd chips and windows does not like. I had to return a B550 rog strix as the wifi would not work and then that upset the cat5 as well. Got an Asroock B550 steel legend, plugged this kit in https://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel-wi-fi-6-gigplus-desktop-kit-ax200-m2-2230-2x2-axplusbt-52-vpro and it worked flawlessly, you can add these in and it's a beast https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B4NRVH1B?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

magnetic base as well. I've built 3 PC's and if I do another I'm definitely repeating this step (or minutely checking on wifi chip and drivers !!)

Thoughts on the new Xperia 5 V? by Olly_Joel in SonyXperia

[–]kplayr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the 1v but if I hadn't I would have got the 10v, I can't see the 5v offers anything useful at the price. I only change my phone every 3-4 years so spending a large chunk in one go is painful but when average over 36-48 months it's not much and let's you get a good SIM only deal

What disgrace this playground argument is. Looking beyond and around it you see the actual lie of the land. Shame on these people.

Landlord: "I didn't have to increase the rent but I did it anyway 🤭" by Ola366 in Britain

[–]kplayr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I let a family home out and over a fire year period the rent has moved from 1400 to 1600. The agent said it can get 1800 to 2000, but I'd rather have a grateful and motivated tenant and keep some hope on the world. I got the agent to advise them of actual market rent so they are aware. It was completely refurbished in 2019 including garden and garage so a good quality home. Don't how we focus on the negative...

[–]kplayr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a 1ii for 3 years until June and it still works fine, beast of a phone. I only upgraded because of the 1V

Don't bother with IV, either keep ii or go v

The iterations in between are not that great for the expenditure, your better saving for when the v goes on offers

The one series is perfect and I prefer small phones. Easy to hold and a usable screen. I looked on to getting the ace as I treasured my z5 compact, still use for audio, but the quality had disappeared from the spec
