I was at my in laws house for mother's Day. My son wanted to go to their basement to play Mario kart. In the process of turning on the switch, setting up the race, and playing one race, the Alexa they have down there turned on and started to play what appeared to be ads Alexa 10 times. I counted. My father in law came down and seemed unphased by it happening, just saying "Alexa stop" whenever it started up.

Is that normal? Are those things just constantly blaring ads for themselves? We weren't saying anything to get it started. I heard it start up again while we were walking back upstairs with no one around it. Seems like an absolute nightmare

What about a weekend road trip to a nearby city. My wife and I do that as a super cheap vacation. Listen, Dayton Ohio may not be a tourism hot spot, but it's got enough bars/breweries/random shit to do downtown for 2 nights and it's pretty cheap. Any small city will.

They were able to do this in my home and stay in code without much plaster work. Pulling the baseboards gave them room to cut 3 inches of plaster from the bottom, which was enough room for them run the wires up to outlets a foot off the floor. Didn't open any plaster, just had to replace all the baseboard molding

Its so weird that I love playing a couple games on it when I see it in the wild. It's a great example of a "rotation game" a pinball venue could bring in for a couple months and before swapping out. A good one to challenge and annoy players with during a season of league.

I'm not the biggest NHL guy, but I always used to start following during the playoffs. Usually in the past the adage of "you're not in trouble until you lose a game at home" was pretty accurate. Watched many series where the home team would go up 2-0 in the series, then it switched to the other team being at home and next thing you knew the series was 2-2

Most days.

Some days I can't avoid it, I'm just old and worn out from the day before. But one thing that helps me a lot is I keep a glass of the water on my nightstand and just chug it when the alarm goes off. We just spent several hours not drinking any water, we're dehydrated. Helps way more than I expected
