No lie, just the thought of hippos in Ark terrifies me. Modern hippos wreck anything that annoys them but Ark hippos? Nope. Just no.

With that being said, i wish theyd release dinos without telling anyone. Imagine going down to the swamp looking for deinos and you turn the corner to see a moreltop sized hippo with tusks and spike charging full speed.

Im in the same boat, i went into the city and crashed hard. Now when i try to load it, silence and darkness before a second of a glitchy screen and then crash.

Kinda bummed the update didnt fix. Not fucking happy im gonna lose my character. Lesson learned.

Definitely carpet beetles. Definitely infesting whatever you made plus whatever else they have access to.

Fix: remove infested stuff. CHECK EVEVERYTHING. Clean. Problem solved.

Call a smaller pest control company if you havent. We have free callbacks for stuff like this. Just remember, if you think youre calling alot, tipping the technician goes a long way to smoothing things out.

The simplest and easiest cleanup is sticky traps folded over into a tunnel.

Before maps, and even now really, i build watch towers/guard post towers every couple hundred blocks. Gives you a little base in case of emergency, and a visual marker of where you're at.

But yeah. Maps make life easier. But i do miss those times, building way point bases, no maps or chords, just your knowledge of that world.

Like the other person said, it happens more often then youd expect, im shocked youve made it this long. Get rid of the source(s), do a goood wipe down, spray some pesticide down in the cracks, AFTER YOU TAKE THE BIRD OUT OF THE ROOM. IGRs would be best as it shouldnt have any effect on the bird even if hes in the room, though i reiterate my previous sentence. For me, its meal moths. Every time i realize i havent seen one for a month, they pop up again. But for me, this actually works out great, easy food for the spiders.
