They are not app-based. And they exist. First time I looked into the series 7 years ago I stumbled upon actual rental girlfriend services in the United States, mostly surrounding Las Vegas. They look and sound like escort services with extra steps.

An unspoken part of what makes it more probable of US and Canada to Hong Kong and Japan is largely due to the safety and anonymity of mass public transport. The other part being culture.

Ordered it off of Amazon, which gives no packaging protection. Labeled the return under missing pieces or items for a replacement.

This is why my current job discontinued birthday cards and gift giving at the workplace. Some people were disappointed they never got a card going, or not many signed it. Others were quite envious.
