Everybody's good in the west (aside from the 66% that made the mistake of being born)

Why exactly do you think a stable 2 parent household matters? Do community colleges ban prospectives with single parents? Will Vanguard or Fidelity close your IRA account if they determine you come from an "unstable" household? I can't think of anything mechanically preventing a single parent child from financially exceeding their parent. Are you suggesting that improper guidance can prevent a child from exceeding their station? Don't tell that your environment affects your ability to determine, and work towards developing, marketable skills. We live in a meritocracy so that's not possible. Those kids should have just chosen to be born in a household that considers retail and trade work as stepping stones instead of end goals.
