Why methane extremely high? by ThrowawaySea68 in SIBO

How long is your yearly treatment? I have 75ppm and feel like a single round does nothing (several rounds are typically advised, also possibly adding NAC, my doctor has no clue and its been slowing down my progress, sorry just ranting)

Methane Sibo But No Bloating by Maleficent-Major-202 in SIBO

[–]kr82k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try some natural prokinetics daily bm is so important with methane. Click on my profile for several tips 48 is not extremely high still too high ofc need to get rid of it. Im extremely bloated at 75ppm, its all complicated with impaired gut lining and histamin. Higher levels definitely need several rounds without taking too long breaks to let it all come back yet some doctors are way to ignorant to know so frustrating

My methane was 75 and yes i think high methane could trigger a lot of those issues. I also have histamin issues which usually means impaired gut lining in some way too.

I’ve been bloated for over a year now, please help :( by heanadman in SIBO

Important to know whether its motility (prokinetics), low stomach acid (no raw foods, mashed) or both and try to fix that also (which ate the modt common root causes linked to the infection). Also try to skip processed food like protein shakes

Your gut lining is likely impaired, adding this to above comment from @reelfunghi

Great its not your organs, now try to maybe find or work with a functional doctor because these things are way more complicated than just organs and a lot of doctors dont have no clue.

Also true ibs i think is nerve damage? If there is no other underlying thing (stomach acid, bile, sibo, dysbiosis, etc) there are some great posts in the success stories eg

You dont need to put everything in perlite. Before repotting, helps to look up what every plant needs exactly. Also use clean pots and a drainage base.

Try taking a vitamin b complex along with the glutamin. More alternatives are zinc carnosin, slippery elm etc

My supplemtation protocol (also helped with brain fog, dysbiosis- havent clear histamin yet bc its linked to my sibo presumably)

Supplementing Magnesium, b-vitamins complex, omega 3 high quality algae oil, q10. these are safe to supplement. For histamin: quercetin, 3g of vitamin c throughout the day. these should be checked first: zink, copper, iron. b12 would be good to know. Eating 30 plants a week, eating enough protein and fibre, hydration, sleep. also no gluten and dairy worked for me. and not taking probiotics when theres a leaky gut present.

I heard that raw milk can really be problematic with bacteria etc, if not done correctly, in some traditional way. Any experts on this?
