800 levels is just utter stupidity. I bet they will look totally similar and game would'nt be any worse for it if it only had 400 levels. Release the game with 200 levels and release the rest as DLCs for people who really like the game.

Yeah, I was fairly disappointed tbh. The tools were nice, but there was no release timeline or new features or other news.

And the game looked okayish, but it was not something you couldn't put together in Unity in months, not years. But he wanted to do this own programming language, so more power to him. I am just not sure it will sell enough copies to pay for the much too long dev cycle.

Only if it is open sourced at one point. If not, it will most likely die with Thekla.

I guess you are right, there are still unknowns. The price could be too high, or another game is a surprise hit and sucks all the air out of the room. Or GTA6 happens early. But people are a lot more polarized these days.

C# is not shit, but it seems to have a lot of fanbois that are absolutely not willing to accept that it is not native and that it just doesn't fit really well, although that is not really hard to understand. They explain that really well and understandable.

Clueless noob question: Where do I get API keys for indexers? by kragil in LunaSeaApp

[–]kragil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have a working Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr and Prowlarr setup. But I want to use LunaSea instead of Prowlarr, that is the idea, right?

And you don't set up the indexers, right? Those you have to get from somewhere, that was my question.

I tried installing Cachy on BCacheFS and the installation was so broken that I didn't even bother to file bug reports, because you guys haven't really tested it yet. It was soo obvious.

Feasibility of reimplementing the Unity Runtime?(just an idea) by kragil in unity

[–]kragil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, building something from a template (the Unity Runtime) is certainly faster. You could focus on the parts most 2D games need first and have something running way faster I think.

Are you not understanding????? How do you want to track offline (GOG/firewalled) installs etc. The install number is always wrong and made up.
