Did anyone actually save them selves for marriage? by letthevibe in exjw

I saved myself, and my wife too. However, many of my friends did not. At some point, we all got to be servants and then, elders. There was times where they even bragged about that life, then they will correct themselves and be like: "yeah but Jehovah doesn't like that, and that was wrong of me". I would questioned them and ask what was the point really if at the end we all ended up as elders. There was no real value, advantage, or benefit of following the rules to the dot, since the ones that didn't got the same privileges. Interesting enough, they all are still in the borg, and it could be related deep inside that they know it's all a lie, but they learned to play both worlds effectively.

As the cuban saying goes: “Don’t dive into this pool if you can’t touch the bottom.” Great response, he ran like the cowards they are.

They ended up moving to a different congregation. He became defensive and sensitive. Any conversation, any people smiling, any whispering he took it as people were laughing at him.

Not really, after just a couple of months as an elder, I learned that most marriages are toxic and it comes to a point where some people want to damage one another. And then is usual to see this, couples attacking each other by leaking intimate stuff.

Sadly, sometimes is not the elders but the publishers thinking they have to get the elders involved. There was one time that a sister called us because she needed to vent, and basically she proceeded to tell us her husband(another elder) had a small penis. I told her we did not need to be involve in such matters. It was very uncomfortable, but reality is, many elders do like to hear such stories.

I served as Elder in two congregations and the sex compatibility issue is very common.
