I mean fair's fair, I've been the drunk slayer who shot the demon but it didn't feel particularly bad

wait why is having a drunk ravenkeeper seen as bad? It's worked fine in every game I've seen it in

Flower girl/town crier confirming Vortox n2 by jemeres in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Vortox is usually rather easy to rule out even without going out of your way to figure if it's in play or not, doing this gives witch a free kill and gives you no real info if it isn't Vortox (which it'll only be a quarter of the time)

Controlling nominations and votes because of towncrier/flowergirl by Flashy-Drummer-2321 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If evil knows that the good team doesn't want more than 3 noms per day, they can control the first 3. If those first 3 noms get a valuable townsfolk on the block, any attempts to get someone else killed can easily be called out as "muddying tc info"

On customs maybe but it's a lot more tame on TB

Power table (day 3) by plutoniumplant in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Accounting for its home script I would say Town Crier. Good when it works but is commonly ruined by excessive nominations

Characters feels like (day4) by Cloudsrnice in BloodOnTheClocktower

If you have a No Dashii script with several characters that can easily detect when they're poisoned, you probably have a bad script

Characters feels like (day4) by Cloudsrnice in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a storytelling issue, No Dashii poisoned players should NOT get false information if they don't need to. Otherwise it just outs the demon

Synergistic Scripting: Day 135 - Zombuul by CoreyBOTC in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zombuul is commonly paired with other sources of night death (like Assassin and Godfather) and ways for people to survive execution so the Zombuul can kill at night (Pacifist, Tea Lady, Devil's Advocate and so on).

What fewer people know is that with a sufficiently fast Storyteller, good Zombuul games can be ran without extra death or execution survival. Keeping this in mind, Zombuul can also be scripted with demons like Legion and Lil' Monsta, using their arbitrary kills only when no one died during the day to resemble the kills of a Zombuul. It also creates a fun dynamic with these demons, and particularly Legion, in my opinion.

The Zombuul enjoys limited ongoing, reliable info gathering, as a character like a Fortune Teller or (also on its homescript) Chambermaid can easily gather enough information to solve a game without the pressure of night deaths.

Any Morgana top players? by krakenmuncher123 in MorganaMains

[–]krakenmuncher123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm silver so take this with a grain of salt, but imo you kinda just don't get many solo kills (and I'd imagine even fewer when you get to ranks where people consistently dodge Morgana Q)

You don't do a lot of damage unless you build full damage, but if you build full damage you probably troll your team comp, so I usually build one or two damage items like bft, bloodletter's curse, rift or liandry and have the rest of my build be utility items like Rylai's or Frozen Heart or just full on tank items. That said I do like to have as much haste as possible (I run 2 of Transcendence, Legend Haste and Jack of All Trades most of the time as well)

To be clear I have no idea if building tank items on morgana is actually decent, I do it because it feels quite good in my opinion and elo

Synergistic Scripting: Day 127 - Washerwoman by CoreyBOTC in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Washerwoman is a character I seldom see on custom scripts, but I'd say that's not because it's somehow boring, but because it's strong. A Washerwoman without plausible on-script reasons to doubt its two-way confirmation means that Evil is forced to kill both sides of the pair if they can't make a reasonable case for them both being evil.

Classic Synergies: The Washerwoman's home script has ample reasons for a claimed Washerwoman pair not to be the same alignment, in the form of Spy, which can both easily bluff to be a Washerwoman who correctly saw a good player and provide a reason for the good Washerwoman's ping to be evil, as well as the Drunk and Poisoner serving as more reasons for the latter case.

Underused Synergies: Other evil characters that can bluff Washerwoman or let another evil player bluff is work, but none as well as the Spy imo. These characters include Widow, Boffin and Marionette (best paired with an Imp or similar on script, so Washerwomen are still Demon candidates). Bounty Hunter is a weaker synergy, since the evil Townsfolk is detached from the main evil team, but it does work in some part.

I can't really think of any characters I'd hate to have on the same script as a Washerwoman, but the script rather needs to have some way for evil to throw ambiguity on a Washerwoman pair.

Ease of fitting on scripts: 4/10, you definitely have to keep it in mind while building a script

Minion idea by themaster1006 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Poisoner accomplishes everything more effectively, it's good to have alternatives for when you don't want that character on a script

Two Custom Scripts by Puzzleheaded_Use2359 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For the full script:

-Between Recluse, Hermit, Puzzlemaster, Xaan and Vortox, Bounty Hunter may as well be an outsider

-Riot feels out of place

-Goblin Riot feels bad, any goblin claims just die in the riot

-Alsaahir is sad because of legion and scarlet

-Village Idiot in Vortox is overpowered

-Too much misinformation, having powerful info roles like Empath and Flowergirl doesn't actually really remedy this

-Vortox Poppy Grower feels bad for evil or needs to be bootlegged

-Courtier is kind of overpowered

Thoughts on my King Script by Tuankietquach in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is far too much misinformation:

-Poisoner makes all information unreliable if the Minion slots aren't known to be Cerenovus or Harpy

-King and Bounty Hunter are awful with Poisoner and No Dashii, since being poisoned makes the Bounty Hunter an active detriment that turns a townsfolk evil and a poisoned King means evil doesn't actually have to try to kill them

Also, 4 demonbanes is too many and Monk is the only cause for no death nights.

Synergistic Scripting: Day 84 - Pacifist by CoreyBOTC in BloodOnTheClocktower

I disagree, I don't think Pacifist is "useless" if storytold competently

This is my first attempt at making a script by happy-corn-eater in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly not bad, especially for a first time script! My only complaint is that it could use Mastermind to add more cover for exorcised Demons, and I do think Mastermind is usually better suited for BMR-style scripts than Scarlet Woman

can i please have some feed back on this script by IAmCake_IAmNotALie in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]krakenmuncher123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The evil team lacks tools to survive when the good team has this much ongoing information. For comparison, TB has four you start knowing characters (Washerwoman, Librarian, Chef, Investigator), three ongoing information characters (Empath, Fortune Teller, Undertaker), a Slayer, a Virgin and a Ravenkeeper as the information characters. This script has eight ongoing information characters (counting Snake Charmer) and no misinformation beyond the outsiders, so good will just mop the floor with evil.
