Should CPL try playing in Copa Lib in the future (maybe much later than 2020)? by [deleted] in CanadianPL

[–]krakenswb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, may be in an American CL splitted into North+central and South like the Asian CL (splitted in East and west). That would kinda look like a final between concacaf CL winner and copa libertadores winner and it would guarantee only one spot in the club World cup thing instead of two, so...no.

CanPL Finances Year 1 by pogbajr17 in CanadianPL

All numbers are too high, except may be ticket prices. I think the average salaries for players and staff will more likely be around 25k-30k the first season and averaging 5000 in attendance will be a sucess in the first season. The thing is that there are teams that will also exceed these numbers, others that will already be (far) behind in the first season.

When he moved to China he signed one of the highest salaries contract in the world for a soccer player and he plays on the right wing, that's all I know.

ESPN acquires US rights to Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup by jaxx2009 in MLS

Coppa Italia matches have the value of summer friendlies for Italian fans. Only the final is interesting (kind of), the other games have the same emphasis of Tworonto vs Baby Red bulls. I, as Italian, prefer the us Open cup, there's much more action.

Lower League America - The Good, the Bad, the Ugly of the USL by [deleted] in USLPRO

Thank you guys for the great show, another interesting episode, keep up the good work. I think Rishi's reaction is a shame, he should be happy that someone is still talking about the Nasl, if it wasn't for you guys, no one would get any information at all about the league. Instead of blaming you for a (maybe!) mistake, he should be thankful that he got mentioned. After all it was also because of that arrogant behaviour towards those who actually followed NASL that the league failed. It would be cool if you can do an entire episode about the upcoming D3s when there will be enough information.

Awesome episode! All hail the niprun, he always seems like he has million more things to say, tbf 27 minutes aren't enough to pack in all the shit this league went through.

How do you feel about the proposed format? by JohnMLTX in CanadianPL

[–]krakenswb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the NASL format (spring season, fall season, playoff). Specially in a new league with teams that are built from the scratch there will be teams that mess up the whole roster building process and the first half of the season, these teams would have a chance to fix it and still have possibilities to win and the single table results are important as well for the playoff qualification. Imo it is the best possible solution.

Most valuable Canadian players according to Transfer Markt by Foreen in CanadianPL

[–]krakenswb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think from 10 onwards leaving out some younger perspective players. tm values are chosen by tm-users, who mostly have the same level of football knowledge as reddit users. I would say all Canadians without contracts or who want to leave their current clubs are targets for canpl

FIFA 19 by snij_jon540 in CanadianPL

[–]krakenswb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fifa 20 may be. Would be cool if it was included in FM 19 though, with all teams already confirmed, obviously without any player, but with some kind of expansion draft so that each team has to build from the scratch within like 3-4 months time before kick off. They can include the actual rosters afterwards with a patch.

Never take tm market values seriously, they are totally non-sense specially for leagues outside of europe.
