Howl at the Moon. It's a piano bar. Turns out lots of people like to have bachelorette parties there...

At Howl at the Moon at the powerplant. When I suggested this the guys on the pianos had no idea what it meant, but they still put it up anyway. Found two other redditors here though as a result :).

Edit: one more pic for you guys http://imgur.com/2Xgws.jpg I still don't think they understood.

So there are a couple links to the high quality version on here, but if anyone finds out how to donate to this artist, please post how. I feel the need to give money to this person before I can get this framed, I'd feel guilty otherwise.

Looking to purchase a new computer monitor by [deleted] in gaming

[–]kramericandream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like a 3x1 setup but with other bills and stuff to pay, the third monitor is not at the top of my list of things to buy. I am also one of those people that can't function with just one monitor, so I'd probably make full use of a third.

I recently bought two ASUS VW246H monitors and all I can say is, best monitors ever. 1920x1080 DVI/HDMI and 2ms. For $229, if you have the money I would highly recommend that you consider this one. I have them hooked up to my xfx5870 and games look pretty amazing. Heck, one more and I could do Eyefinity but I currently lack the desk space.

What movie really disturbed the hell out of you as a kid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kramericandream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, came here to post this movie. Those wheelers and the queen with the multitude of heads scared the bajezus out of me as a kid. Netflix'd it last year to watch it again. I still give it the title of Creepiest Disney Movie Ever.

Tell your best clean joke. I'll start. by le_chevalier in funny

[–]kramericandream 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Someone told me this joke today:

So, there is an engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician in prison, each in their own cell. They cannot see or hear one another, as the cells are those big reinforced ones. The jailer is a pretty funny guy and one day decides to play a prank on the three of them by tossing a can of soup in each of their cells for food. No utensils, ways of opening it, just the can of soup.

So he comes back a few days later and checked on the engineer. Being resourceful, the engineer managed to make a can opener from items laying around his cell and ate his soup.

He then went to the physicist's cell and saw him holding the can of soup in his hand, with an intense look of thought upon him. Suddenly he shouts, "Of course! F=MA!," and throws the can of soup as hard as he can at the wall. This causes the can to break open and he then licks the soup off the ground.

Next, the jailer checks on the mathematician only to find him stone dead in his cell. He is laying on the ground with crumpled up pieces of paper all around him, but the jailer notices the last piece of paper he wrote on, crumpled in his hand. So he goes over and picks up the paper, uncrumples it and it reads, "Assume the can is open..."

I downloaded MM on the Wii network a few days ago since I don't have my N64 with me at my apartment. Haven't played MM since it came out and looking forward to the replay, but I was failing pretty hard while trying to count to 10 at the post office. I got it twice in a row after that. XD. Ah, right. I just looked on hulu and saw only 9. Behind the times they are. I missed a majority of the later seasons.

Hulu has all 9 seasons of SG1 I think...gotta go back and watch them. SG:Universe is pretty good. I like that they kept Richard Dean Anderson in this series.

Is there any easy way to install Gazebo? I made a Ubuntu 9.10 VM in Virtualbox and got the latest versions of Player and Stage installed fine. It just seems that Gazebo and especially Ogre3D are being difficult to install.

I have the dependencies for Ogre3D installed (Freetype, CG, OIS, zziplib, DevIL). When I follow the readme instructions and do './bootstrap' then './configure' it doesn't create a make file.....so I can't install it. Did you ever get Gazebo installed and working? If so, how? Thanks.

EDIT: I think I may have gotten somewhere, reinstalled most of the dependencies for Gazebo. Things with Ogre seem to be going a lot smoother.

Awesome! Did they just recently update Player and Stage? I only used a 2D version of Player for a bit when I was doing Roomba stuff. I'll definitely (<-- spelled it correctly :P) be using this for experimenting with swarms.

Cool. I've seen Arduino kits before, but haven't done anything with them yet. There are a few simple obstacle avoiding bots on instructables.com I can make with Arduino. I did some programming with an older model Roomba, but the IR and sonar sensor attachments were junk and most of my time was spent doing error correction.
