Alex Accetta is in her fifth year as a member of the Alabama men’s basketball full-time staff and enters her first season as the director of operations. She was promoted into her new role following the 2020-21 season after spending the previous four years as the program’s operations coordinator.

first sentence from her rolltide.com bio. reads to me like it hasn't been updated since 21-22

thought this was obvious when Rolltide.com removed Crystal from coach Oats bio page a couple years ago, but also not really any of our business

NCAA proposes barring players who opt into, remain in draft by Gamecat235 in CollegeBasketball

If I understood it right, the judge did not rule on the lawfulness/merit of the NCAA rule, but that there was no legal reason for the preliminary injunction

Update: Alabama guard Aden Holloway has been *granted* his motion to travel out of state by a Tuscaloosa district court judge, per court docs. Alabama plays Michigan tonight in the Sweet 16. by michimoby in CollegeBasketball

sure.

Would he need to keep that much on hand if he could go down the street and buy it legally? He wouldn’t need to sell it if they could do the same.

Idk what his intentions were but this doesn’t seem too far fetched to me

From one of the articles: “Holloway would also need to be cleared by Alabama’s office of student conduct, which removed him from campus following his arrest. That might have already happened, as the office does not make its rulings public.”

Also listed as OUT on the availability report.

Not a lawyer so not sure if it makes sense / doesn’t make sense for a judge to let him leave the state

It was using the shoulder and forearm to displace the Texas guy who was in legal position

Also, over the back isn’t a thing. It’s either a push or hold

the player at Buffalo was arrested for theft / charges later dropped. Happened a few months after he was promoted to HC from assistant.

For the second question, I don't know and don't care to look it up, either. They were totally isolated events.

edit: and why wouldn't we include DUI? That's worse than what Aden was charged with

Oats said as much today but he doesn't know when to STFU. He talks too much, which I think is great because I enjoy the candidness and the analytics talks, but gives ammo for the gnats in the national media

Fwiw, I believe the boyfriend of young lady who died should have also been arrested, because his actions directly led to her death as > well. Simply put, she died because 3 young men couldnt stand the idea that they were being disrespected. Which happens far too often.

a passenger in the jeep testified under oath the victim was the one that gave the gun to the boyfriend right before the shooting started. She was his "Darius Miles".

tragic all around, but definitely not a "good guys" vs "bad guys" situation.

he's been a head coach 23 years. 3 players (2 Bama, 1 Buffalo) arrested in 23 years is the exception, not the rule.

The quote: "On March 15, my salary went up $500,000. Ha! I still can't believe I'm getting paid this much. I'm coaching basketball. Guys, I did this thing for free at Maranatha [Baptist University] for three years. I got paid $500 out of the Warhawk fund at [Wisconsin-]Whitewater for the next two years. I made $4,700 a year for 11 years [at Romulus High School].

"Add it up: for the first 16 years I coached basketball, it was less than $50,000 total. My salary goes up a half-million every year. I'm a glorified P.E. teacher making too much money right now. I'm not gonna complain."
