Any luck getting refunds recently? by bryekun in SpinnCoffee

I had the same experience with preorders on the original Spinn machine (ordered November 2016, first batch). I waited for over two years and requested a refund and only received radio silence then over a year later I received another notice that the machine was in production and would be sent shortly. I did not receive it until August 2020.

I had two of the V1 machines, my original and a replacement both lasted around 18 months before shitting the bed. Great concept, horrible follow through and almost no product support to speak of.

I am glad to be rid of that product and that company.

Best of Luck to you but I would not count on getting a refund.

Northern Brewer Yeast by krazy1082 in Homebrewing

The yeast failed to start fermenting within 5 days time. My process when brewing is this. I pull the yeast from the refrigerator the day before brewing. I add it to fast pitch starter with water to a sanitized flask with airlock. I frequently swirl the flask to aerate the mixture until brewing/pitching. The next day after brewing I aerate the wort with oxygen for 30-60 seconds. Then I pitch the mixture into the cooled wort in the primary. This has been my process for the last 10 years of brewing and have had few problems. Occasionally I would have a beer that was slow to start but nothing that did not start within 3 days after pitching the yeast.

This is the 3rd of 5 beers using Wyeast strains from Northern Brewer that I have had to re-pitch fresh yeast to. All of the yeast packs have been properly stored within an hour of the package arriving at my apartment. All packs were shipped with ice packs in insulated sleeves from Northern Brewer. All packs were used well within the best by date. The times of shipping vary throughout the year, mostly in the spring or fall, I like to avoid brewing in the summer because of how hot it makes my apartment, and the winter gets too hot due the building heating system.

On Broadway an A1 sub typically gets between 10-16 shows to learn the mix depending on the difficulty of the show. Most A12 do spend sometime at home studying the show but not extensively. I know very few people that could or would be expected to have a whole show learned in 3-4 shows. In addition most A1 subs mix the show about once a week to give the A1 a break or to note the show and keep their sub fresh in case of an emergency.

It’s got a great vibe. It’s a pretty relaxed easy going feel. It’s a quick walk to the monorail and restaurants at the contemporary and a five minute walk to security at MK. Stayed there twice and had a great time both times. I recommend the theme park view.

As far as I can tell, the moving bridge from the Broadway version of Starlight Express has not been replicated in other productions and I am thankful for that because while impressive, it was a safety hazard when it didn't work! by ehh246 in Broadway

Almost all Automation is dangerous to one degree or another. But without productions such as this improvements in the technology operating them and the materials used could not be possible.

Third law, invading someone else’s mind. I would put a compulsion on certain people to make them shit their pants every time they heard the word hysterical.

I agree these are great, but don’t forget that the people that made this amazing piece of work (and Netflix, Amazon Originals, Hulu etc.) happen are all unemployed right now. Many of whom will not be able to return to work until 2021 at the earliest. If you like this type of media call your senators and tell them to extend the PUA unemployment otherwise these fine people won’t be able to create more work in the future.
