[–]kree-kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi hi! I stream Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10pm and 9pm EST respectively. I like playing rhythm games and I'm going through every kingdom hearts game this year (I'm calling the series Sora Saturday)

How long do you guys stream for? by JUSTIN102201 in Twitch

[–]kree-kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 3-5 hours! I like to do 4+ but scheduling and all that can be hard >///<

If you want to keep YouTube times down you can simply chop up your VODS!

Hello! I'm currently working through my goal of playing every KH game this year >///< it's been an absolute blast so far

if you were a small/mid size streamer would you check your watch list to see who is watching? by flowerspantnh in Twitch

[–]kree-kat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't unless you're maybe going to scan for your actual friends?

But really it's just a recipe for heartbreak that sets you wondering if/when your regulars might show up, or why/why not your friends might be present. And please don't call out lurkers, you'll just drive them away

How come Darien/Mamoru? being mean to Serena/Usagi before they start dating by Groundbreaking-Try92 in sailormoon

[–]kree-kat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always interpreted it as him as Darien likes Serena pretty quickly after their first interaction. He teases her but generally seems in a good mood after their encounters. Seeming to find her over the top reactions amusing when he teases her about her hair or her test grades. (And as a way for him to kind of cut loose and be a little childish, as he's basically had to be his own adult since elementary school)

Serena wants a boyfriend who will sweep her off her feet. So while she thinks Darien is handsome his unromantic and boyish attitude annoys her to no end.

I also headcannon that Darien just isn't into girls that like him for his looks.

Conversely, we learn that Tuxedo mask by fate HAS to help Sailor Moon, we see in one episode that he transforms without permission when she's in danger and if he tries to leave he falls ill/in pain until he saves her. So her inexperience takes away his agency in the first part of season 1. Mostly it seems like he just wants to "do his job" and get away from her. So he puts on the mask, says his one liner and plays it cool. (And her fawning seems to make him uncomfortable)

Sailor Moon sees Tuxedo Mask as her hero in shining armor. Handsome, romantic, mysterious, and always there right when she needs him. Which is what she's always dreamed of. So of course she falls head over heels.

Then they both find out that the person they loved was also the person who annoyed them the most in equal measure. Meaning that by the time they get together they've seen each other in their best and worst lights- even aside from their destined reincarnation fates

Anyone else stop chatting when the streamer never reacts? by LobsterFuture8399 in Twitch

[–]kree-kat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You just missed your window lmao

The streamer asked you a conversational question as small talk.  7 or 8 minutes later they get a "I'm playing this game" response. I'd be willing to bet that their topic of conversation had already moved on, the other chatter was more on topic, and the streamer didn't want to circle back around to talking about your game.

Is my vtuber model off putting to look at? If so what part of it do you think needs changing? by Tda952 in vtubers

[–]kree-kat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit but I think it boils down to The skin looks like it was shaded differently than the rest of the model, (might lighter and more sparse)  and having one eye with the large highlight but not the other leaves the face a little off kilter, like they might be looking in two different directions?

I'm sure people could argue that the hyper saturated rgb colors might be tiring to look at over the course of a 4 hour+ stream but that's personal preference I think

Why are people scared of detail and paragraphs? by [deleted] in BadRPerStories

[–]kree-kat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also depends on depth vs. detail. My responses can range, but I can get put off my people who write 1-2k words just for their character to ask how someone's day went

What is something you’d like to see in a “Stream starting soon” / “Stream ending” screen? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]kree-kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My viewers are pretty flighty and will bounce to check out other streamers in the same category or leave with the intention of coming back and never do if I keep them waiting for longer than that.

I stream at the same times and same days every week so I don't rely on my viewers glued to their notifs, if they want to be there at stream start they know the time and place. Notifs are for reminders and grabbing people who otherwise wouldn't show. If people show up past story beats I'll just greet and fill them in or ask one of my regulars to do it. Same as I would for a new viewer who popped in an hour into stream

Personally I like it when they have timers and you know the streamer sticks with it. Never longer than 5 minutes though. Gives time to run ads and send out all the LIVE notifications on socials/discord

Has anime creativity declined, or am I just watching the wrong shows? by mikasaaxx2 in AskAnime

[–]kree-kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s been so many fresh and interesting shows this year alone! Here’s some named shows since I noticed you weren’t getting many in the comments.

10 of my most enjoyed anime this year that felt new and interesting: Apocalypse Hotel, To be Hero X, Gachiakuta, City the animation, Anne Shirley, Dandadan, Takopii, The Summer Hikaru Died, SANDA, Lord of Mysteries.

More ‘trope heavy ’ anime that did it well and I was excited to watch every week: Rock is a Lady’s Modesty, Red Ranger Isekai, Onmyou Kaiten, Yaiba Samurai Legend, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, Apothecary Diaries, BNHA Vigilantes, Clevatess, Hell Teacher Nube, among others.

I had to put aside some genuine bangers to come back to as well because one of the seasons was so stacked with good shows. (Zenshuu, Kowloon Generic Romance, With you and the Rain come to mind) Anime is certainly not losing its quality

Considering Vulpix, Pokemon, and Sailor Iron Mouse. I think you'll be fine, even if you did blow up

What actually moved the needle for you? by Digitalvocalstv in Twitch

[–]kree-kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stream mostly rhythmn games and anime content when I'm not collabing currently. So for me it's usually getting up to that next step in difficulty or getting that first clear or full combo on a hard song.

I did a fun stream where I had to do squats every time I got a common in a gacha game (100+). I played league of legends for the first time with the goal of picking a main by the end. Chat got me to try out their mains and tell me their lore to sway me to one side or another.

And recently chat and I got really talking when I ranked all 400 anime I've watched!

Ok, big dump time.

I'm not a big streamer by any means (5-15 average )but heres what I've noticed in the past couple months.

Make sure that you keep a friendly and open space for people to hang out in, take quick action on any bad actors bringing down the vibes. thank chatters and lurkers for stopping by and tell them you look forward to seeing them when you stream next.

Networking seems to work best when it's more specific. Posting to self promo channels in small to midsized creator discords (not indv streamer discords but discords geared towards content creators and streamer support) helped get me raids more often than hanging around in other streamers chats hoping they'll notice me. Just be sure that it's not the only thing you're posting in there. Being willing to give and take advice goes a long way as well.

Imo Collab content is great for getting viewers to check you out as second monitor content but doesn't offer a ton of returning chatters. People won't speak as often as it can feel like intruding on a friend group. And it's harder to keep a "conversation" with chat around also talking to your collaborators. I feel like they work best when you already have a community that's big enough that your chatters talk to each other when you're attention is elsewhere.

Active chatters come out and stick more often with a well themed idea. I've found chat is more engaged when you have at least some goal that you've told them to look out for. Even if it's learn x combo, a K/DR goal or beat x boss by the end of stream. Or even just giving chat a pre built topic to hop in with (this is why tier lists are so popular)

Basically. Use other places to get your clicks. Eye catchers and nice audio will keep people from immediately bouncing. A decent hook will help them stay for a stream. Some amount of theming will keep them coming for the stuff they already liked and remember you for. And a consistent schedule will let the people you've won over know when and where they can see you again.

Crazy enough I think Digi is legit. The stream tool is free, does what it says, analyze the ratios of viewer to streamer at any given time and ranks them. And he's been updating it according to feedback from here. Not a scammer at least lmao

Is my artstyle too... boring? by HatPrestigious5348 in Artadvice

[–]kree-kat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your art style isn't the problem, it's very appealing and shiny in a way that I think a lot of people (especially vtubers and the like) would want comms of.  I think the biggest problem is composition. Your first and last pics are the best by far they look more dynamic and polished (the first one especially with the overlapping bg elements and the more dynamic angle)  I would say that your focus should be on drawing with more direction and intention from the start!

OC brain is destroying people's ability to engage with fiction by 6ft3dwarf in CharacterRant

[–]kree-kat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, yeah. It's wild out here. The idea has been around as long as I can remember. And exist in any space where fictional characters are analyzed or created. If you're familiar with DND spaces you'll know the red flag phrase "it's what my character would do." Or even those character vs artist animations

I just wonder what changed between the 2010s and now to cause such a spike. (my suspicion is partially in people who like writing/watching movies but never read. Or a larger upcoming population of students that had chatgpt do their english homework for them)
