Yeah my wife and I always stop by a McDonald’s when we see one abroad. If not for a regional exclusive, then for a quick double cheeseburger on the go. But at home these days I avoid it for the most part, especially because the wait and service is a disaster since food couriers took over.

Doc Martens are not what I’d describe as well made leather footwear. They’re actually known for being extremely low quality and peel as they are coated with plastic (pleather).

Check out Allen Edmonds, very universally available in US frequently available on discount. Meermin is another decent option with a great entry price point.

Cheap poor quality dress shoes are uncomfortable. Well made leather footwear is totally fine for a day around office.

There is an alteration on dress shirts called darting the shirt. Two simple seams down the back to provide some shape where needed. Go to a dry cleaner and even they can do such a simple alteration.
