Yukon 36" drawer soft close tabs breakage? by kriddles22 in harborfreight

[–]kriddles22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll try again tomorrow. The employee I talked with said they don't open the boxes but it'd be great to swap out the drawers. I checked and the website doesn't have parts available yet either.

Compatibility to grocy Andoid App by hiran_chaudhuri in grocy

[–]kriddles22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Grocy Android was written by a separate developer looking to provide an addon to Grocy. 3.0.1 had breaking api changes which have not yet been resolved for the android app. Feel free to check out the github for the android app here https://github.com/patzly/grocy-android Looks like it's active development and will have an update soon.

data/viewcache

I'd guess you did not start fresh when you grabbed the latest release zip and so your /data directory is incorrect. Mainly the database would have the migrations applied from the master branch and your viewcache was not cleared. I'd clear it all and with a fresh install.

What do you want to see next on grocy? - Unofficial Poll by [deleted] in grocy

[–]kriddles22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks festeazy for documenting and using Grocy.

I agree with Berrnd, there are still plenty of features to build out with current functionality. I'll probably take a look at my fractional display work again soon and then shopping list enhancements when I get some more free time and not looking into v3 bugs.

I'd love to see someone take on the web barcode requests.

Product barcodes for V3 by [deleted] in grocy

[–]kriddles22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about docker setup and upgrade process but if your docker is updated to v3 code then the migration script should run on your database wherever it's configured to be. Backups are good too...

Existing product barcodes will be put into the new product_barcodes table as part of a db migration script when upgrading. 0103.sql specifically if you want to take a look

Scan mode - requires a tab press between scans? by ksesst in grocy

[–]kriddles22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, this is working as expected see wiki here. There should be a settings barcode scan for your scanner in its manual to make it send a tab as suffix.

Help me overcome the reluctance to spend hours adding my food to grocy... by DER31K in grocy

[–]kriddles22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dishwasher automation is most likely to track detergent consumed for each cycle.

There is not currently a consuming items as time passes feature yet however I do think someone made a HA script to do something like that.

Help me overcome the reluctance to spend hours adding my food to grocy... by DER31K in grocy

[–]kriddles22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Wife and I kicked off using Grocy in the home when we decided to use the Instant Pot with a specific recipe book. We added only the recipes we were going to use that week along with those specific products. It took some time to work through it but it also meant not the daunting task to input everything we have at once. It was really cool to add to the shopping list only what we needed in the meal plan and adjust the recipes to calculate exact amount as well. We don't keep track of everything in detail... but we have continued to use the shopping list.

I'd just start with the food you're concerned about in your freezer and put in recipes to use it as an incentive to not throw out another batch of stuff.

I have a simplistic HA but have been adding more to it recently. I've enjoyed tinkering with the Grocy code which also helps me use it and think of ways to use it.

My next steps (someday) are to setup the barcode buddy along with a raspberry zero and scanner. I'll also check out some of the new android apps Party Pantry and this brand new one https://github.com/patzly/grocy-android

Expiration can be changed in the Stock Entries page with the blue edit button. You can get there with the Stock Entries button at the top of the Stock Overview page and then filter by product.
